I got the buffalo chicken dip and the beer cheese dip prepped and ready to be eaten!
I feel so bloated right now, but it was worth it!
I don't know how the fuck you girls went out dancing after. I had a hard power-nap/food-coma the instant everyone left. So greasy and grape-y. Thanks Courtney and Robin for joining us tonight, I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves. And I'm glad I could exploit some free, highly-efficient Asian labor.
I didn't take notes, so I need help

I think Edward played Wax Tailor before your James Brown covers. The Lush album was Split, the The The album was Infected.
That was a great record club. Loved The Softies and Wax Taylor and Lush a LOT. Thanks for sharing, friends.

Yea, The Softies album is fantastic. Winter Pageant is good too.
I invariably end up playing this song all summer each year:
Also: the crushing moment when I find out that the Softies just played SF in September.![]()

I freaking love you people. And your food. And your records. And your hugs.
Also, after stressing out about making my flight, the departure was delayed by two hours. OF COURSE.

Greg! That song is definitively the theme song of my recent months.

That seems like it should be your lifetime theme song Cara.

I want more chicken. It's like crack!
Our one-year anniversary is nearly upon us and, as I've mentioned to many of you, I'd like to celebrate with a special dance party edition of BARC. Yes, dance party. Jennie and I want to clear the furniture out of the living room and make room for us all to get our groove on. Jennie wants costumes of some sort, and Heidi has mentioned a pre-1980s record club; perhaps we combine all this for a pre-80s costumed anniversary dance party?
Thoughts? Concerns?
Roller skating disco dancing?
Oh man. Please don't have a dance party without the 80's.(I feel like Jennie will be with me on that!) Maybe a 'vintage' vinyl night (20 years old + ) ?
I love this idea, btw.
I feel like Salah needs to resurrect his Plurple Rain costume.
I'm with Heidi that the 80's must be included (even though I won't be there)!
