Tonight was a success. Dave (coachellablood) and Eric (fikus222) came over had a nice time. Let's see, we listened to the Talking Heads demo thingy from 1975, which was quite good. Then a New Order single. After that we cracked open my sealed copies of The Bends and Kid A (thanks, TallChris). We closed the night out with some Prince 1999, then Jennie threw on the new Florence + The Machine as we were packing up.

Good beer and good talk. Good night. Keep your eyes on this thread for info on the next one.

So I was watching some reality show about rich ladies' purses or something with my girlfriend and it gave me an idea for a record swap-meet. Is anyone else interested in something like that? We bring our extra records to buy/swap/sell at our meetings. Give me some feedback and we can see about setting up a group sale if there is enough interest.

Well those people are fucking stupid and you should cease all contact with them. I don't know if Cal Train has service to SC, but if you take CalTrain up to this general area, I'll come pick you up wherever and you can crash at my house. If you play your cards right we'll even give you a lift back to CalTrain in the morning.


Cara, I don't know what the show was called something about a consignment store in New York. Clothes and shit. I don't know, talk to Jennie. Basically, these rich upper west side birds were getting together to buy/swap/trade their Hermes purses.

Next event will be next week sometime. Tuesdays have been working, but I know there is a contingent of weekend folks, so maybe we can get a Saturday afternoon lined up. I'll keep you all posted, just check your e-mails.

I'm thinking a Saturday afternoon for the next meet to give Ed, Andrew, Lee and some others an opportunity to make it. Plus I want to hear their records . Do something like 1:00 - 7 or 8 or whenever people have to hit the road. Make a full day out of it. I'll even make you all dinner. Who's down with next Saturday?

I *might* be able to come over for a bit next Saturday but am doing really late night shows Friday & Saturday so there is a flakiness factor...
