I saw Einstein on the Beach today and I'm honestly ready to just follow Philip Glass like a lost puppy

There will be two stages (one inside/one outside under FDR). I'm thinking set times will be coming out tomorrow.

Yay for this! Boards of Canada? Aphex Twin? Slowdive?

I still can't believe they're not headlining. Hopefully this set will be over by 10pm so that I can head over to Brooklyn for Gang Gang Dance/Sun Araw gig

ps If anyone needs 3 day pass still, I found someone selling it for $90 each! I still have to get my pass so maybe we can get a better discount. PM me if you're interested.

The show was really good but I wish it was louder? What was up with Glasslands' sound that night....I didn't even have to wear earplugs!

anyway good interview with Mono. Enjoy!

Why did you choose to record this album with Henry Hirsch and Fred Weaver and not Steve Albini like you usually do?

We will always love and respect Steve Albini. It was just important for us to try something unfamiliar, so that is why we sought out another producer. It was a way to challenge ourselves.

The studio of Henry has very special atmosphere and is a very spiritual place. We used analog tape and an old vintage mixer so it made the sounds really soulful. Then we brought multi separate tracks to our longtime friend Fred Weaver to mix in Pennsylvania. Finally, Bob Weston from Shellac did the mastering. We are so very thankful to all of them and are very happy with new album.

I don't know, but i'm excited that the Camber Sands fests have been doing well enough to warrant ATP expanding their festival schedule a bit

looking at google maps the logistics of the stage being under the FDR is a little weird. it doesn't look like there's room or there might be sound issues. i dunno though

Deerhunter playing their albums in their entirety will be pretty cool, regardless of who else they bring to the mix.

756 divided between four isn't too bad. 189 is about what 270 dollars give or take? That seems fair if the lineups stack up. Well I wouldn't just go to the festival, I'd probably plan a two week trip that ends at the primavera festival(I'm not sure when primavera is next year). I'd love to go to the TVOTR one, I have a feeling they'll book a bill that lines up with my taste.

I think I'll be there on Sunday, which will partly help make up for my missing the GY!BE show in Hudson tomorrow night.

Julie Klausner gets around - She's on the panel for Night of the Living Head tomorrow night at The Bell House.

The new Lightning Bolt show is shorter than I'm used to from them. At least at the Smell it was.

They are probably on the boat. These set times kinda piss me off, what happened to giving full or close to sets for the bands? The only one that has a full set is Godspeed, even The Make-Up who are sub headliners are only getting 45 mins. The fuck?

That might be how long they wanted to play, but I was surprised by that as well. The sets do seem pretty short, although Bob Mould only did about 45-50 minutes when he was the second-stage headliner in 2008.

Friday starting so late is kind of weak with how short LB and Phillip Glass are playing, but on the bright side there is almost no overlap at all on Saturday and Sunday

I made up some timecards if anyone needs them to help plan between now and then
