Greg Dulli is listed on Pollstar as playing a show on Friday 9/21 at Convention Hall in Asbury.

I'm assuming this is our first Friday artist. The fest probably saved a few bucks by getting him to do a solo show.

Actress was fantastic at DEMF (although a lot of people left his set early because he took some time to build, which was their loss).

i was assuming we'd get The Twilight Singers since Lanegan is gonna be there. this seems fair.

wasn't a fan of the last Antlers album outside of a few songs but the new one is excellent so I'm interested in their live show. also I need to listen to more of the Dirty Three. i keep forgetting they're on the bill entirely.

ATPNJ might be turning into ATPNYC according to BrooklynVegan:

Wow. That would suck for anyone who's already booked a hotel/rented a house. Wouldn't surprise me, though. When they postponed LA 2003 it left a bunch of us with nonrefundable hotels and airfare, and they weren't all that apologetic about it. I feel like the "rain or shine" disclaimer (which applies to ticket holders) should also apply to those who run festivals (as in, whether or not you sell as many tickets as you want, you run the damn thing when and where you said you would anyway).

that would be awesome. it'd be much more likely that I would attend if it was moved to nyc.

IMO, one of the best things about past ATPs has been the tight-knit community atmosphere where everyone is staying the same place.

Theyre definitely gonna have to pull a few rabbits out of they're hat to make this successful. It would take a couple spectacular acts for me to consider the expenditures & time off work during busy season. I too loved the tight knit feel & loved the setting last year. I cant think of anywhere in NYC that would even come close to the ambiance of Asbury.

i thought they lost the cozy, tight knit feel pretty much in its entirety last year. hence me being ok with them moving it to NYC...

i'll take back kutshers in a heartbeat over anything they could wrangle up in NYC.

You can expect to budget another $150-$200 if this is going down in NYC and thats probably a conservative figure.

If Louis C.K. is out, that means that 2 of my top 3 performers will have dropped from the lineup (the other being Sharon Van Etten). I hate to ditch this thing, but....

I hope these are crazy rumors. I loved the Asbury location. Also, Louis C.K. would be a pretty big loss for me as well. I'll wait to see the full announcement before jumping to conclusions but I fear this story is very accurate. It's possible the lineup gets better and they pull out some interesting location still.

I live in NYC. I see shows in NYC every week. I don't need a festival in NYC to see these bands.

Well, and they're speculating that Louis CK is out simply because his dates aren't listed on a section of his website that is designed only to sell tickets to the shows for which he has the right to do that. Feels like mongering.

here's the statement. looks like it is true. moving to manhattan:

    Statement Regarding Changes Within ATP:

We have now completed a restructuring of the business of ATP Concerts Limited. This involved the Voluntary Liquidation of ATP Concerts Limited and transfer of its assets (including the rights to the All Tomorrow's Parties festival, label, and shows) to a new company called Willwal Limited. We will also be dividing the business into three different companies; ATP Festivals, ATP Recordings and ATP Shows.

The team however, remain the same, having been transferred over to Willwal Limited - and the festival is still called All Tomorrow's Parties. All future events will continue as scheduled on the dates advertised and all tickets for those events are still valid.

ATP remains unwaveringly committed to hosting world class events. Since our inception it has been our mission to provide quality concerts for discerning music lovers around the world - our number one priority has always been the bands and the fans and we work hard, sometimes under difficult circumstances, to achieve the highest standards possible. It is a tough climate out there, but this restructuring will ensure that ATP is around for many more years to come. We thank the fans who have stood by us over the years and especially during this recent time of reorganisation.

Other news we are announcing today is that the U.S. event on September 21 - 23 is to be moved from Asbury Park, New Jersey to Manhattan, New York. This is due to logistical reasons and a full press release regarding the move will be posted here. Anyone unable to attend due to this change will be able to request a full refund.

We have many exciting developments and opportunities available to us that will be announced over the coming months. We will be continuing the work we have done over the past 13 years and would like to thank everyone for their kind support over the past week - we apologise that this statement has taken longer than anticipated to be released (due to needing certain legal clearances) - we thank you again for your patience and apologise for any unnecessary worry caused.

On Monday we will announce the first bands for this December's Nightmare Before Christmas festival curated by Shellac.

    Yours sincerely,

    Barry Hogan
    ATP
