Would love to see Emeralds/Dirty Three, but the Afghan Whigs/Louis CK/Roots top line really does nothing for me. The Roots are fine but they tour all over the place all the time.

Kinda weird that they would put this on sale minus two of three headliners. Can't imagine tons of people will jump at tickets, but maybe I'm underestimating the Afghan Whigs' draw.

In the end, with the lure of Kutshers no longer part of the mix, I needed the lineup to bowl me over to get me back to Asbury, and this is pretty far from it from a personal-taste standpoint.

Pre-sale Emails are still sending so some people are yet to get it.

Day breakdown for bands is now up on site.

Also 3 day passes are close to $70 cheaper than last year but does this mean atp's budget will be smaller than previous years?

    Portishead isn't playing.......

Didn't catch that line but still.. Says something.. Hopefully the reverse of last year, forcing people to buy weekend passes instead of forcing people to buy multiple day passes

Yeah, there isn't any one act that jumps out and pummels me with excitement, but I know that I'd have a great time with these bands already.

How long was their set? When they played out here, it can't have been more than 30 minutes, and it was still sooooo worth it. They are spectacular.

This is a SUPER garage-y lineup. I dig.

I think a lot of it depends on where you're traveling from. If I lived in NYC (or a nearish East Coast city), I'd most likely be in, even though I'm not blown away like I've been by past ATP NY/NJ lineups. But to justify flying cross-country, taking extra time off work, spending tons of money beyond the ticket price, I need the lineup to get me excited. Especially, as I've said before, since the Asbury site does not.

That's what makes the annual Brooklynvegan commenters extra absurd to me. They live right near this thing, yet they still bitch endlessly about how it's not good enough to justify their effort.

All good stuff. But not cross-continent good. To me anyway.

Reigning Sound is fantastic live - be sure to catch them.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.

I'm excited for The Dirtbombs - Never heard them but I heard the Gories when they were playing a few years back and he was awesome.

I'm trying to figure out why people are calling this line-up extremely mainstream, save for the Whigs, the Roots, and The Antlers and maybe Mark Lanegan, Veitver, Thee Oh Sees, and Sharon Van Etten..

The Afghan Whigs and Emeralds have me way excited. I'd be very happy to see the Antlers, Autolux, Dirty Three and the Roots. Mark Lanegan Band, Sharon van Etten and a few others I sort of know would be good, too.

I don't know The Dirtbombs, Sharon van Etten, the Make-Up, the Magic Band and many others on the list, and while I can see myself learning to love at least some of these that isn't a draw. I bet they'll add some good bands, too. But that doesn't mean anything now either.

I may try for Saturday tickets when the general on-sale happens, I may look for cheap festival passes come September... but I also may just hope for the Afghan Whigs, etc to do additional shows somewhere.

Maybe 45 minutes or so? I wasted a lot of time trying to get water (and didn't get any until 6 hours later...Thursday kind of sucked except for the music and the crew) and only got to catch the last 15 minutes.

Yeah, that seems weird. Hell, I wish it was MORE mainstream, I guess. Or at least more to my tastes/history.

The price for the 3-day pass is great, though. If this weren't going to be such a busy time for me I probably would just say fuck it and dig in. Wish I could, but I can't. Wish the line-up was up my alley enough to push me, but it isn't.

Is The Make-Up really the Sunday headliner?

There is a lot of good garage, really hoping King Khan gets added. Also I really liked Party Store, so hopefully The Dirtbombs play other stuff too

Also, this lineup is calling for a whole lot of whiskey and smoke

This lineup is a fucking party. Can't say I'm not sort of underwhelmed, but I'm pleased as punch for the Make-Up. This just seems like a really fun time more than anything. I'll probably be there, but definitely hoping for some solid adds.

Damn, this really doesn't do a whole lot for me. I think part of it is I never listened to The Make-Up or Hot Snakes. And I'm seeing Afghan Whigs and Dirty Three at Primavera. That said, if I could go, I probably still would.

Order #8636xxx has been processed and shipped via USPS 1st Class. Your order should arrive within 4 business days.
Looks like they're making up for the delayed line-up drop by moving shit through lickety-split. Whoa!
