Hudson is a fantastic little town. I would definitely attend if I lived closer. Also, if you have time, you should drive down to Bard College in Red Hook to check out their Gehry-designed performing arts center, and the Center for Curatorial Studies. And Cafe Tamayo in Saugerties!

Drinkey, I do think that there's a certain level of over-saturation at this point in his career, but the performing arts center at Bard is still a pretty cool place to see a show.

That may be. The Disney Concert hall is also an amazing place to see a show, and the Experience Music Project is a lot of fun on the inside, but the outsides of these buildings infuriate me.

Im happy he is on board to play, though, and I understand you gotta sell tickets.
Frank Ocean is way bigger than a number on an indie-rock website! He's the first person you hear on a Kanye album; his band has a national TV show; he's nominated for MTV awards. This isn't Death Grips, we're talking about here!

edit: And now he's playing SNL!

ATP next year? Get freaking Ride back as well!

Slowdive, the much-cherished shoegaze act signed to Creation during the early '90s, is currently contemplating a return.

In an interview with MTV's Hive, ex-frontman Neil Halstead admitted, "There's a chance that we'll get back together."

"It's definitely possible at some point," he added. "No one has ever really said, 'I never want to do it.' We've never really talked about it much."

Honestly, it took quite a while for the first night to sell out. I don't think the presale even sold its allotment out before the time ran out. They're really not THAT big (though they should be). I'd like to go both nights, but don't really have the fundage atm.

Fun interview with Greg Dulli posted today by Gothamist...

That’s what I heard. I was at the show at the Bowery, and you guys were tight. It was a real treat for me. The first time I saw you guys was in 1998 at the film auras, living in San Francisco at the time. The pre-party, the pre-show festivities got away from us and we showed up later in the set, and you were just in the middle of a tremendous cover of “Beast of Burden” from the Stones, and you were telling people not to hate on the hate, and you had a bow around your neck—it was great. With that in mind, are there cover songs that people are always requesting you guys to do that you’ll never perform? My thing is not really working anymore. We kind of do what we want. There’s all kinds of covers we’ve done. People are like, “Please play ‘The Temple,’” and I’m like, “Well, I don’t know that we’re gonna play that one. But I never say never. So you never know what’s gonna happen. I’m looking forward to this next round, it’ll be fun.
And I do have to say that if you guys do play one song, I’m looking forward to “City Soleil” is the one song that I didn’t hear at the Bowery that I know you guys would just blow it off. That, or "John the Baptist" would just be amazing. We’ve played them both on this tour so you never know.
No problem at all, man. Well listen, I’ll see you from down in the crowd in a couple weeks, alright? Yeah. You’ll get one of those two, I almost guarantee it.
