Well I got an email from Brown Paper Tickets that they received my ticket, and that ATP has to refund my money. Hopefully they don't tell me that it's coming and then postpone it for four months.

The Animal Collective thread is named in reference to MPP, do you know how many threads there are with time sensitive titles?

Don't know why people think I'm not aware of these things. In fact I said I like it in this case - and I meant that non-sarcastically.

You really need a new shtick, man.

You used to actually provide helpful and insightful input about music, movies, all sorts of things. These days it seems like all you do is bounce from one thread to another, correcting people and providing argumentative counterpoints when there really don't need to be any.

After getting the e-mail from Brown Paper Tickets that my ticket had been recieved and they would notify ATP to direct a refund to me. ATP sent me an e-mail on Monday saying I should expect my refund this week.

Today I got another e-mail from ATP now saying that refunding via paypal will take too long. Now they want my bank routing number, checking account number, banks address and blood samples. I replied to that e-mail. Now we will wait and see how long it takes to hit my bank account. I'm really hoping it's here before next week at this time. I don't know that it's safe to assume as much at this point.

There goes the idea of getting it before Outside Lands.

Bank transfers are being made next week, so you should receive yours
by the end of that week subject to a few business days once it is
processed. Thanks again for your patience.

The quality of this webcast, once I got it to load, is exceptionally good. And yeah, Afghan Whigs are as tight of a live band as they ever could be. Dulli is so fucking great. Can't wait for November.

I think Ty Segall not being part of the last announcement looks to have been intentional. Thee Oh Sees' show here in LA no longer is with Ty Segall according to TM, but with The Mallard.

How is that faith working out? I still got nothing after an email two weeks ago saying I would have my refund last week. Has anyone received their refund yet?

How does this delayed refund situation impact your consideration of attending ATP-run events in the future? If the disorganization wasn't bad enough, I would think this should be the last straw. Who cares if they get good lineups if they're unreliable and can't be counted on to give you your money back in a timely manner in the event of a refund being necessary?

this thread would be more fun if it was not about refunds.

thoughts on how many more bands we are expecting at this point? shellac announcement is happening on this thursday, hopefully we will see another announcement in the next two weeks.
I wonder if folks are buying tickets for the nyc event at this point. anyone know of people who were convinced by the move into ny?

This fest would be more fun if it didn't turn into a huge hassle. I was a brand new customer last year and enjoyed it so much I purchased a ticket during the pre-sale this year and then they started messing with the lineup, location and an absurd refund policy that requires you mail the physical ticket to them and then like a craigslist scammer they didn't want to refund to what you paid with they wanted my bank routing and account number to speed up the refund process.

The one thing they have going for them is they appear to be the only ones doing what they do. They are original and have a niche but this is pretty ridiculous.

I was convinced away as was my gf and friends. I'm seeing Godspeed in Hudson. There's nothing special about a festival in NYC. Now they're just denying great bands the ability to headline at great venues with great sound. Instead you'll have to see a shortened Dirty Three set in a shitty cacophonous cavern if you want to see them in NYC in 2012.

We in NYC went because it was a special getaway. We already have a shit-ton of festivals and every week a plethora of bands coming through in far better music spaces. The point was for the small community vibe Asbury (and I assume Kutschers) gave.

I mean, maybe if they moved it to Floyd Bennett and did camping or something like that? But just in the middle of the city in an unproven venue is a terrible idea and destroys almost everything special about it. Um... IMHO.
