Technically they are, in May
I really do not understand why people get so flustered over the exclusivity of sets they see.

From DIY:
You're curating the New York ATP, right? How've you gone about picking the bands for the line up?
I made a giant list that I sent to Barry, and then he and I went back and forth. It was an interesting process, obviously I was a fan of all the groups and individuals that I asked to perform. We used the contacts that he had, obviously some were available and some were not. But I think we've put together a good show.
Is there a notable 'one that got away'?
I don't think we've got Prince! There are a couple of others that I'm still holding out hope on, but Prince was a notable pass. I think I have a few left to go, so I'll keep that open, I don't want to put a whammy on it.
Sigur Ros are doing some fests in the USA in July, then European fests just about right up until ATP

Floor is the dude from Torche's old band. I literally did not know you could tune guitars that low. Two guitarists, one drummer, all bottom end.
Their show here in Houston with Mammoth Grinder and Black Congress was criminally underattended.
Yeah, I'm finding that alot of knowledgeable music heads don't know who they are/were. Which is a shame because they're awesome. New Torche is disappointing at first listen, by the way.
That dude uses a Travis Bean guitar, right?
I don't think so. It looked like a Gibson SG, but wasn't. I know Albini and Duane Denison use Travis Bean, and it's a totally different tone than that. I could be totally, totally wrong, though, I'm not a guitar guy, just a rock geek (and how).
Upcoming Floor tour dates, for anyone like me who had never heard of them but are now intrigued:

I almost drove 6 hrs. to Orlando once to see a Naked Raygun/Hot Water Music show that was the year before.
Ahh.. Grandaddy is on Outside Lands Fest - that'd be a nice grab
so is neil young.
The guitar was made by Electrical Guitar Company:

They've built guitars for Steve Albini, Duane Denison, Buzz Osborne amongst others. I'm having one built by EGC right now.
