I agree with Drinkey, Company Flow was the worst sound I heard all fest and while Public Enemy's set didn't sound perfect it was acceptable and I had a blast at that set. Obviously the Theater had the best sound and Asbury Lanes was just a great seetting for the smaller acts. I couldn't get enough of that place.

Company Flow was the worst set I saw at ATP, and I was hugely excited for them. I remember Bryan and I practically sprinting in, waiting a couple of songs, looking at each other like some dog just shat on our shoes, and sprinting out.

So happy with Godspeed being added. 2 times now that I'll see them this year. I'd prefer the Paramount, but I'm not worried if it is the Convention Hall.

ATP said 1-2 weeks from the announcement... But this week is Jeff Mangum's ATP so I'm guessing next Wednesday or next Friday

As far as the sound issues go, ATP has already said that 'fixing' the sound in the main room is a high priority for them. As someone said, in a big concrete gymnasium, you're not working in the best circumstances, but there are reports of good sound from Convention Hall shows(peppered among the common complaint of terrible sound) and I'm sure that if anyone can make excellent sound the standard, it's ATP.

And yes, Godspeed raises the possibility I might actually go to this. I'd love to see them play Fri/Sun and split the crowd into two Paramount groups. That room would be so perfect for them.

Yeah, the sets I didn't care for the sound were, like the article mentioned, the bands with really loud music. Bonnie 'Prince' Billy was gorgeous, and Portishead was wonderful. Good thing GY!BE isn't a loud distortion-oriented band.
