Default New Canned Beer of Choices for Coachella 2012

This past year has seen a resurgence of the beer can. Many craft breweries have invested in canning lines and are canning really big beers (high ABV (Alcohol By Volume)). I think when you've only got limited time to get to your campsite and back to a show, it pays to be drinking high ABV beer.

So far with an ABV of 10.5% Oskar Blues' Ten Fiddy Imperial Stout is likely going to be my beer of choice.

Are there any other good, big, canned beers out there now?
Even though I look it, I'm not a cop.

Most of the stuff I've tried from Maui Brewing Company is pretty good--all in cans. Also, Prescott Brewing Company is all canned.

This is by Joseph James Brewing here in Las Vegas. It goes down like water, and at a 9.3% ABV, it's a little dangerous.

Yeah I'm thinking Murphy's, boddingtons, Guinness, Sierra, Maui and a box of colors light for water.

How much beer are we allowed?

Go light if you don't want to pass out in the heat. I don't know how many people I saw passed out in the daytime holding some gnarly can of xx beer that was too potent for their own good.

I'm going to be sticking to Boddington's again this year. I usually only have one or two beers at the campsite before heading in for the day, and a few more after sunset before heading back for evening acts, and few beers are as refreshing to me as nitro beers in general, and Boddington's in particular. Smooth, a bit sweet, only 4.7% abv so you aren't going to get dried out or queasy once you put some Spicy Pie on top of it.

Modus Hoperandi from the Ska Brewing Company in Durango, CO is so punch-you-in-the-face hoppy it's ridiculous, with a strong finish of a mouth full of pine cones. It's 6.8 ABV and an IBUS of 65. Plus the label has three skeletons skanking down the street dressed as ska boys. Sadly, I don't think it's available outside of parts of Colorado or Flagstaff.

Ten Fidy is a bit pricey to be my "Beer Of Choice", but I did make it my inaugural campground drink on Thursday night 2010.

    Tower of (mostly) crap.

    Ahhh....much classier now

I believe I exclaimed "It tastes like Jesus!" the first time I tried it. By the way, if I was Suprefan, or not too lazy to search, I would point out that we've had a canned beer tasting thread going for two years. I appoint Getbetter to find it and resurrect it, as it is filled with good suggestions.

EDIT- Never mind, I bumped it. There was a lot of useless stuff towards the end of the thread. Maybe it's better to start fresh.

I need something similar to Lost Coast's Great White, a blonde with light citrus notes and not too heavy, any suggestions folks? Same with their Tangerine Wheat Ale (way less filling your belly feeling compared to Blue Moon and other wheat ales.)

Coffee Bender is what you had.

    Coffee Bender
Coffee Bender refreshes like an iced-coffee, is aromatic as a bag of whole beans as satisfies like your favorite beer. The Surly brew team has developed a cold extraction process that results in intense coffee aromatics and flavor bringing together two of our favorite beverages. Your only dilemma will be whether to finish your day or start it with a Coffee Bender.
STYLE: Coffee flavored American Brown Ale
MALT: Pale Ale, Aromatic, Medium Crystal, Dark Crystal, Oats and Chocolate
    HOPS: Columbus,Willamette
COFFEE: Gautamalen Finca Vista Hermosa Full City Roast by Coffee and Tea Ltd.
    YEAST: English Ale

    OG: 14║ Plato
    ABV: 5.5% v/v
    COLOR: 45 ║SRM
    IBU: 45
AVAILABILITY: Cans and Kegs Year Round

I don't care for that kind cause I am not a coffee drinker so I don't care of anything related. They have a good seasonal coming back out called Abrasive Ale coming to the local liquor store that I am pretty excited about.
MN's first double IPA. Good canned beer

Go to that craftbeer site below that was posted. I did a Witbier search and quite a few came up:

    http://www.craftcans.com/db.php?search=Witbier

I personally like the White Rascal. I don't think I've tried any others on that list.
