All of these are awesome finds. I listen to that second Hawkwind album a ton.

Greg and I met with coachellabound at Amoeba SF on Sunday:

John Fahey - Blind Joe Death / Vol. 1

Thanks. My goal while I was over there was to buy records that I can't find easily (or at all) here, so I think I succeeded.

Blind Joe Death is so good. I keep putting it back but I'll bite the bullet someday. Have you heard the Your Past Comes Back to Haunt You box set of early recordings?

Yeah man. I've been on a huge Fahey kick the past year and have been snatching up whatever used stuff I can find. I want to get all of the "Vol." titles.

I have a shopping problem. Just arrived from the ex by way of an intermediary :P

Felt - Crumbling the Antiseptic Beauty
    V/A - Temple Cloud (A Sarah Compilation)
V/A - EEC Punk Rock Mountain (A Sarah Bootleg)

I've just realized I need all the Felt releases now.

Also, I'm developing some serious angst over a package from Germany that was shipped 25 days ago and still hasn't shown up. The seller is being unhelpful about trying to track down the package. I paid with Paypal.. is it awful of me to file a complaint to try to get him moving on it? (The package was insured, so I don't think he should be out anything if I do get a claim against him). I want my records.

Holy shit. I still think of White Lung as a little local Vancouver band, but I guess they are really starting to make an impact across the continent. Awesome to hear.

Had a really great day, apparently these and a ton of old jazz (that I didn't pick up, because I know nothing about it) were all from the same guy.

    Melvins-Your Choice Live Series
Melvins-Interstellar Overdrive (Pink Floyd cover on Purple wax)
Nation of Ulysses-Plays For Pretty Baby
    Venom-Welcome To Hell (Neat Records)
    Today is the Day-Supernova
James Brown-Prisoner of Love (King Records)
    Hammerhead-Ethereal Killer
    Cows-Effete and Impudent Snobs
    Black Sabbath-Vol 4

And probably the oddest thing I saw that I just had to have

Went to Vinyl Soultion in HB for the first time yesterday... not sure why it took this long. Really kind of fell in love w/ the place. From everything ive heard the staff isnt the best, so i left them a lone and spent a good hour practically alone. Deff a lot of records you wont see anywhere else, yet not nearly as many records as you would see at some other shops. And they dont over stuff the racks, making it easy to dig..... didnt seem to have an electronic section, and very small categories of most other genres (jazz, hip-hop, funk & soul, etc). The guy that runs it seems compelled on a collectors image and selling vinyl in good shape. He seems to price things pretty fairly, if not on the low end... Excellent 99cent bin as well.

Yeah, that place has awesome stuff.. but the racist vibes (last time I was in there they were playing a song that went something like "get that coon off my land") is pretty off-putting.
