Depending on how badly you're dying for that stuff, I'd recommend waiting for a bit. With Discogs, you can set reminders so that anytime a seller puts up a release you want you'll get an email. Tracking those will show you how prices are going, and you can maybe find a really good price. I'm looking thru the Discogs listings right now and the prices are ridiculous. $40 for a 7" is highway robbery.
The 7" format only makes sense for me as a conscious restraint. I really can't stand it as a single format. Especially in this day and age.
Touch's Seven series is pretty great. John Wiese has had some great moments with the format... but he's kinda the king. And Machinefabriek.
Part of it comes from the fact that a 7" demands attention. You really can't do anything else other than just listen to it. The problem being, so little music is put out on the format that deserves that kind of attention...
With Trish dying last year I don't forsee prices lowering for Broadcast vinyl. Idk thanks for the input guys.

anyone know about Southern Lord Record stuff? Rhino just priced a bunch of used stuff and was browsing. Only bought them cuz they're pretty, but i don't think i'll be listening to them. I'll probably flip them.
Black Breath - Sentenced to Life LP - Red vinyl
Craft - Void 2 LP - Clear/black spatter vinyl
Rhino's free ticket promo continues this week. Sleigh Bells ticket for Fox Pomona starts Friday, so i'll be picking up a ticket and Reign of Terror on LP this weekend if they don't run out too quickly.
LA people: Amoeba is insanely stocked in incredible used stuff right now. If you can get there today, do it.
What I got (all original presses):

Joy Division - Closer
Husker Du - Everything Falls Apart
Killing Joke - Killing Joke
Soundgarden - Louder than Love
Stereolab - Mars Audiac Quintet
Big Black - Songs About Fucking
Pink Floyd - Piper at the Gates of Dawn
Dude... Piper??? What pressing? Killer haul... I wish I was up in LA to go spend 200 at Amoeba.
5/12 - Acid Mothers Temple - Casbah

On a side note, I wish I didn't have such bad luck with Editions Mego. It seems like half the time I order from there I end up with a split sleeve. Like the new Fenn O'berg live LP will be arriving soon, and I'm nervous about what I'll find when I open up that bad boy.
I need beginner turntable help. My second turntable, but my first barely counted (couldn't get to the innards at all, built in speakers, etc.) Every time I play an LP it runs at the correct speed for ~30 seconds, then either speeds up or slows down drastically, and then resumes a mostly even (but slightly faster or slower, depending) spin. Same thing every 30 seconds or so. I checked the belt. I don't really know what I'm checking for though. I mean, it's on there.
Oh shit, Drew, I feel like I have seen you around here in a really long time. Hola.
Hmmmm, I'm not sure about your problem here. Both of my tables have been belt-driven but I've never had issues with RPM on either. Possibly the motor, then? I have no experience here. Contact the manufacturer and see if this is a common issue with this table and ask about potential solutions.
Jesus does Nine Inch Nails have any vinyl other than The Slip for less than $80 or so? I have Pretty Hate Machine already but nothing else and I see that goes for upwards of $60. God damn.
I got Jack White-Sixteen Saltines - Love Is Blindness (7")
I've never had a bad experience with FE. Strange... I've honestly probably ordered from them 50 times. Discriminate is my favorite, but their stock is limited. You can trust Mimaroglu as well.
Bad experiences of what type?
They just cancelled over half of the items I ordered, that they had listed in stock (but turned out not to be), but the rest of it has already shipped and I wouldn't expect any problems....
Yeah this has happened to me too, but I had no qualms over that, that's perfectly understandable. There was a time I ordered Harmony in Ultraviolet, only to be told that it was out of stock, and that they would alert me when it came back into stock. They also gave me the option to just get refunded, but I elected to stay the course. After some time I got the e-mail, and was prompted to pay again. I figured I had accidentally been refunded, so I put in my info again. I was never refunded for the first payment it turned out, and they refused to refund me because on their records it read that I had received the record once already. Long story shot, a total ballbuster emailed me back and I never got my refund. So essentially there was one time FE stole $22 from me.
I've ordered from them since then, with only a few hiccups here and there, but that one experience still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I've never heard of Mimaroglu, so I'll check it out.
The new(ish) beta version of Forced Exposure seems to work well in regards to what is in stock. I've never had any problems with them either. Placed an order with them like 22 hours ago, already on it's way.
Vatican Shadow - Kneel Before Religious Icons LP
Pete Swanson - Man With Potential LP
SND/NHK - Split 12"
And just noticed Eli Keszler - Cold Pin LP got cancelled from that order. Shit... going to have to track that down.
I imagine so, Still-Ill, in that situation, I probably would have filed for a chargeback with my credit card or paypal. The burden of proof would be on them to show that something was shipped to you (ie, a tracking number that shows delivery).
