I once found every record ever on the internet, from the comfort of my bed, completely for free, and I didn't have to waste time searching or flipping through crap. It was a great trip.

Hit Amoeba to sell some more CDs, and they said that a stack of them couldn't be exchanged for cash due to their beat up quality, but that they'd give me store credit. With that, I got:

The Beatles - The Beatles' Second Album
The Beatles - The Beatles '65
    Yob - The Great Cessation
    Cynic - Focus
Joni Mitchell - The Hissing of Summer Lawns
Rod Stewart - Every Picture Tells a Story
    Kiss - Dressed to Kill

You took that over the Last Waltz!? Wow. Before the Flood is good, but the Last Waltz is one of my favorite albums ever. It's one of three I would take with me to a desert island. You should consider going back for that in the very near future.

I forgot while on my trip at 1,2,3,4 Go! I picked up:

    Mickey Newbury - Better Days
Olivia Tremor Control - Dusk at Cubist Castle

Highly recommed the Mickey Newbury. It's a collection of demos, rarities, and unreleased songs, and it's fantastic.

Neutral Milk Hotel - On Avery Island
Scud Mountain Boys - Do You Love the Sun

The correct answer is actually Music From Big Pink. The Last Waltz has too much of people who aren't The Motherfucking Band in it.

That's exactly why it's a desert island record. Not only the band but Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Dylan, Bobby Charles, Dr. John, Emmylou, Paul Butterfield, the Staples and more on one album. Awesome. And ... Big Pink is obviously great, but if we're looking at Band-exclusive releases, my money goes to Stage Fright.

Does anyone have any experience with MCS turntables? I know they were the house brand at JC Penney for several years but I've also very good things about their 6500 & 6600 models. This is a 6500. Looks great and the price is right, but I'm wondering if anyone here has any personal experience with these units.

Is $45 a good deal for the first three Arcade Fire albums? Pop Market has a deal for them today.

You might be able to find them cheaper used individually, but for new records that's a really excellent deal. You'll find Funeral for about $16 at a store, but the other two are pretty much always in the $20s. Do it!

I support having the ability to buy those records again, but I also hate how shittily they treated Touch and Go records. But, with those four coming out soon and the PCPPEP having been re-released a year or two ago by Alternative Tentacles, the good Buttholes releases are available again. Yay.

I feel so nerdy for being excited about this, but Discogs added the ability to view your collection based on when you added a record to it! I've emailed them about this a few times and I'm so excited to finally see that capability on the site.
