You've piqued my interest too - what don't people like about the two different mixes?

Both are said to be muddy and people also complain that the original is too flat while the remaster overcompensates with vocals and guitars.

I've never had much of a problem with the remaster, but it's also my least favorite of the original three Gun Club albums, and I'd put it behind Mother Juno as well. It's still a killer album.

slightly off topic but would appreciate input. I recently started collecting vinyls and bought my player on a budget and the audio hook up sounds way better than the needle. Is there anything you guys would suggest under $300? As of now I'm going to get a TEAC for like $250 but if you could steer me in a better direction that'd be much appreciated.

Like Icey said, you should save a bit for a better table. For $300-400 you can get some really nice shit. Personally, if I had that money I'd get a vintage Thorens and live my days in audiophilic bliss. Regardless, your options expand greatly at that price point. What you should do until then is throw down the money on a new cartridge before you damage your records any further. Read reviews & ask questions on audio forums.

Well, the US editions should be really easy to find. I've seen those a few places. The Warp ones apparently had multiple manufacturing problems and only got shipped out a couple of weeks ago, so maybe more of those will surface soon.

Yeah, it's pretty awesome. And I just noticed that I snagged an og stereo copy of At Folsom Prison, they actually bleeped out "shit." You know, "this is being recorded for a record on Columbia Records, so you can't say hell or *bleeeep* or any of that." Awesome!

Damaged is the first SST press unfortunately.

The biggest score was the Air record I think. I paid $10...looks like it is at least a ~$30 record on Discogs.

Nice. That is a total score. That Missy record is a score too at whatever price you paid for it. I got super lucky and found it for $4 about a year ago.

And the Black Flag stuff doesn't matter unless you get lucky enough to get a copy with the Anti-Parent sticker on the front. I have a Unicorn copy without the sticker, so what's the point.
