Hah, I'm terrible about ignoring what Jared posts about music. (I know that sounds a bit offensive and I don't mean to be -- it's more a "oh look a list of things I've never heard anyone mention, again" ).

I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW AMAZING DISCOGS IS!!!

I got copy of Parentheical Girls Safe As Houses (vinyl) for $20.Aaaaaaahhh im so happy .Im going to clean my record player and the record really well and hope it doesn't fuck it up.Since my record player isn't that great.I thought I would have to spend $75 plus to get a copy of any of their LPs.

Discogs is addictive. Be prepared to part with all of your extra cash as you constantly think of albums that you must buy.

Did you feel the Neil Young cover as the opening track was a little distracting and out of place? Otherwise, solid album. In my top 10 of the year so far.

I just got two albums I've wanted for a long time from discogs for way less than the average past sales:

    - Air France - No Way Down/On Trade Winds double LP
    - Desert Sessions Volume 9 & 10

Seriously. That release sells for SO much. I've thought about selling my copy at points just because it'd cover a good amount of my rent.

Mine does too, but just on side one. It ruins "Let's Not Wrestle Mt. Heart Attack" though, which is probably my favorite song on the entire album. Where did you order your copy from?

Mexican Summer is releasing a 5-LP box set of Rifts by Oneohtrix Point Never, the collection of his first three LPs, Betrayed in the Octagon, Russian Mind and Zones Without People, as well as 2 LPs of tape stuff and outtakes. It looks awesome, and they're charging a mere $57.98.

So, people of the board: should I sell my copies of Russian Mind and Zones Without People to fund this box set purchase?

I'd say yes. Rifts and Returnal are really all you need from OPN (I don't like Replica)

Betrayed in the Octagon is his best album, so I'd say yes. The KGB Nights stuff on Rifts is also really great.

I have all the original LPs and then probably have the 1/2 last LPs on various tapes... so as much as I'm tempted, I'll probably pass.
