Just picked up the Pulp Freaks reissue. love the packaging and extra record of bonus materials

For Dublin, I've heard good things about - The Secret Book and Record Store. There's also All City record and skate shop, but I've heard that's overpriced for what it is. I've only been to The RAGE for the retro game stuff, but they do have a respectable record section too. If you're particularly mad into metal and old school hard rock, there's Sound Cellar, near Trinity college, which is sort of... through a Subway, so if you want a sub of the day while you're there, you're laughing.

Oh shit - just head to George's Arcade. There are a couple of weird little record stalls there, a bit of digging might turn up something good. And mooching around Temple Bar for a few minutes should turn up one or two more little teeny stores, but I can't remember their names or which lane they're on.
All of these are within a fifteen minute radius btw, so you could cover them all easily no problem.

CSS, any other time, I'd be sure to meet you for a pint, but I'm working out of town right now. Hope the place treats you well.

any of you purveyors of vinyl have an opinion on if i am better off selling my sub pop singles collection v.3 collection as a whole or piece it out one by one? haven't really been able to find a value or any past sales as a collection.

(As a sidenote, if you input your releases into Discogs, there is a view to tell you what the minimum/average/high selling price is for each).

By googling, I found some ebay sales history on the set, selling for over $100 as a set, nothing recent though.

yeah, looked for recent sales on ebay and it seems the gem of the bunch is the om 7" selling for $70 a week or two ago. also looked through discogs to see what value seemed to be on them. if i can get $70 for one i may just piece them out, although just getting rid of them as a lot would be a lot less hassle.

Steve, selling things as a lot will almost always benefit the buyer more than the seller. There will be people who have most of a collection and want just that one piece they've not been able to find, and will be willing to pay more for it. Do them separate, even if it's a hassle.

Whoa thanks, wasn't expecting this detailed of a response. I can't wait to check out the places you've mentioned. Galway has been terrific so far with the end of the arts festival and the start of the horse races so I expect Dublin to be great. I'll be sure to report my findings.

Yea, I've been listening to them since 97 and they were perhaps my favorite band for a period of time. (I'm still quite obsessive when it comes to Kevin Barnes). I didn't enjoy their last couple of albums as much as the previous ones, but I still enjoyed their live shows. (I've not seen them on support of Paralytic Stalks yet, so we'll see....)
