Yeah, it doesn't seem like they much acknowledge Acrobatic Tenement. I'd love copies of that, El Gran Orgo, Alfaro Vive, Carajo! and the Hell Paso ep.
haha nice! Southern Lord never fails with their packaging! Hope you got a holographic coverI got clear version last week. Which version did you get (black, green, clear or pic disk)? Definitely smoke up before you listen to it...
You might like this documentary. Enjoy....
You may want to hang onto to some of those for the sake of posterity. Even if you can't listen to them, they're still culturally significant recordings. Probably some rare, super-out-of-print versions of stuff. But a 78 Crosley may not be a terrible idea simply for the sake of playing them.
People can dog on Clapton all they want, this record is fucking tits.
Remember when I told you to look up Delaney & Bonnie? Yeah, this is their backing band + Clapton. Magic.

Pangea - Living Dummy(yellow)
Deerhoof - Green Cosmos
Astro / Family Battle Snake - Split
Dave Brubeck Quartet - Time Out
That live album is so good, but my favorite is Accept No Substitute, their 2nd. If you ever see this out, buy it. This release had some weird label issues (George Harrison signed them to Apple, but Elektra already had rights blah blah blah) and as such is a fairly rare release. But it's absolute dynamite, one of my favorite records of all time.

Well, I've just purchased a bunch of ridiculous stuff off of discogs this afternoon. I blame a hip hop and hi-NRG listening spree this morning.
i got the new Deltron 3030 remix ep from the Dogfish Head beer Collaboration!
Dustin Wong's newest
Alan Lamb Wired Day pieces
Keiji Haino/Stephen O'Malley/Oren Ambarchi comp
High Aura'd's newest (never listened to him/them before, bought based on descriptions, sounds promising)

Neil Young - Rust Never Sleeps
Chromatics - In the City II

That High Aura'd record is ridiculous. His Mooncusser cassette from last year was top notch.
Ridiculous in a good way I hope? Got the Alan Lamb due to your recommendation btw, looking forward to giving it a listen.

absolutely in a good way. that alan lamb is really awesome as well. it's a really interesting set of compositions centered around a really cool "instrument." it doesn't hurt that Taiga records puts out some of the most gorgeous packaging on the planet. it's a nice contrast to the psych/noise rock stuff on Nazoranai and Imikuzushi.
I've been wanting this for a while and saw it today at Rhino Records.
Portishead - Dummy[simple vinyl]
Throbbing Gristle - D.o.A.: The Third and Final Report
Throbbing Gristle - Heathen Earth
Both original Industrial pressings, but look to be in incredible condition. The ebay seller was also selling 20 Jazz Funk Greats but I got outbid :/
i would highly recommend pursuing the represses instead on those. the remaster really is a vast improvement (it was done by chris using the original master tapes).
