They made 200 for Sound of Silver white label couple months and now same thing with This is Happening which is limited to 100. Just hand stamped. It's more for vinyl collectors to have different variations....nothing too rare so unless you're a huge fan I would just wait for remastered version which will probably be released when LCD reunites![]()
Just received my copy of the re-issue of We Rose From Your Bed With The Sun In Our Head, the Swans 2-CD recent live compilation. It is thunderous and intense and wonderful, in the way that the vocals-forward NPR-stream of their ATP NJ performance was not. I was half listening at not loud enough (because, really) and it was still emotionally affecting.

OFF! - OFF! (limited white vinyl)

Yeah, same here. I love Essplode and Lablakely Dress, but that is probably just cause of the awesome versions of Fireworks they did live with those songs. That album gets listened to least often of theirs.
Bought Quakers on vinyl a couple of days ago. Bought it blind and am glad I did. Production is fantastic, rhymes were good... need to give it more spins asap.
Fuck yes
Tomahawk -Eponymous to Anonymous
I'll take Danse Manatee over MPP and all the EPs except Prospect Hummer. I think it gets a bad rap.
It's certainly disjointed... but i think the transition from Spirit to it makes it clear that's by design (especially if you listen to the live pre-HCTI tracks that immediately followed it). I think the album is the perfect bridge between the noisy psych of Hollindagain and Strawberry Jam->on. It's pretty astonishing to me how similar that album is to the earlier incarnations of the MPP songs. If anything, the album perfectly illustrates how non-linear AC's career has been. It's a straight up noise album, and quite unpleasant on first blush, no doubt there... but Another White Singer->Runnin' The Round Ball is one of my favorite stretches they've ever done.
Finally snagged this:
The place I got it from had a few more of the Girls in the Garage comps, all for $40 (how much this one was.) They're averaging anywhere from $50-$150 online, so I'm going to try and go grab the rest over the next few weeks...
Oh, and this copy is transluscent yellow, which I had never heard of...

Looks like something Skrillex would use for his albums.

Yeah, it's not the R&S, but the sound isn't horrible.
