So.. you're not going to Amoeba at all, Greg, or just not at dawn?
I keep forgetting RSD is this weekend. I need to prioritize my list...
I also got the Refused and ATDI (#310/500) reissues at Coachella! I was so worried that they were going to warp, but I kept them in a small cooler in my car's trunk with no ice in it (car camped), and they are 100% fine. The Refused LP looks beautiful, I love the color. Also, these two were the only things I wanted from RSD so no need to go to Amoeba![]()
The Rolling Stones - International Noise Conference: Los Angeles - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - Austra - Colin Stetson - The Pacific Rim Projekt - The National - Goat Rodeo - Hopscotch 2013- GY!BE - Beirut/Vampire Weekend
Would it be too much to trouble one of you folks to possibly snag me a couple of records? The only issue would be shipping, it is a bit much to make you guys do that. But if anyone is willing we could figure something out.
Send me a list, no guarantees though of course since our store may not get everything.

Ehh, the shelves were still pretty stacked Sunday night when I finally ventured in there, I just didn't have enough money. I was talking to some of the staff and they still have hundreds of great used records they aren't stocking until weekend 2.
Yeah, I also talked to the staff. It seemed like they were restocking everything throughout the weekend but not very quickly. I almost pulled the trigger on a few items (Refused reissue, and an original Vaya with a ripped cover) but I saved myself. I don't have much cash for the 2 weekends and I want a ton of RSD items. So I'm hoping I made the right choice.
5/12 - Acid Mothers Temple - Casbah
5/13 OoOoOo - Soda Bar
5/19 Black Angels / Hanni El Khatib - Belly Up
5/29 Junip - Troubadour
5/30 John Talabot - Echoplex
6/2 Bjork - Hollywood Palladium
They just do a really good job bringing in really obscure records and writing up great reviews of them and slapping em on the cover. They also have a website with all their reviews and audio samples. I actually only got the last three on my list from there, the rest from amoeba in Berkeley.
I remember Amoeba and Rasputin in Berkeley being pretty good for vinyl, but it's been eons since I've visited. Maybe time for a trip across the bay.
