Yea for LiB. Hopefully I'll be able to manage a real visit this year.

As many Crosstown Rebels acts as possible! Among many others, but my main concern is the woogie being packed with as much deep/tech/minimal house as possible. The lineup completely determines my decision to attend or not this year.

^what he said. i'd love to hit this festival, but my attendance will entirely depend on the lineup.

I'm hoping for PANTyRAiD, Blockhead, SBTRKT, Tipper, Eliot Lipp. I am also hoping I will be able to make it this year, seeing as though all of my current funds are going into traveling this summer/burning man.

But it's the same weekend as Movement, isn't it? LiB would get a ton of awesome acts like that if it was the following weekend.

Yes it is, but both festivals are multiple days and acts can easily play both if they wanted to.

That's the thing, nobody wants too. Movement is a big ass bender of a reunion. I've seen very little crossover over the last few years. I'd really love it to be on the following weekend some year so I could finally come check LiB out.

The time off work is what makes Detroit not possible for me. I got other things going on such as Burning Man that I need vacation time for and I could make this festival happen without having to take a single day off since it's 10/15 minutes from my house. Detroit will happen one year for me, just decided other things were more important this time around.

Edit: Also, the reason I doubt it will switch weekends is because of the primary styles of music they book. Since this is primarily a bass music festival I don't think they really have too big of an issue with sharring the weekend with Movement.

    Yea that makes sense...

So how far is this location from LAX? I think that's another consideration when thinking of sharing artists between two festivals. Flying from Det to LA is like 4 1/2 hours.

It's pretty far from lax. I say at least an hour.

It's a pretty lengthy drive from LAX. Flying into John Wayne would be much better. (90+ min vs 30)

LAX to this location could be done in 50 minutes in good traffic. From John Wayne, I would say 30 minutes is about right. An artist playing Friday of Movement could easily play Saturday or Sunday of LiB, and vise versa. I think this festival selling out Sunday last year and doing pretty well all together could mean they bring a lot better of a lineup, or at least that's my hopes.

Going for the vibe, atmosphere and experience was what I did last year, this year I will get all that at Burning Man on an even greater level so it's not enough in itself to get me there. So the lineup is the big part of this for me, I really would love to attend but the ticket aint cheap so it's just gotta be worth it.

The woogie is gonna be even more nuts this time around... sadly, I don't think ill be able to make it this time... Gotta save my weekend off for raindance... Still, :-(

Tickets will probably even a little more inflated than last year, so hop on those early birds people! They were gone pretty damn quick last year, and definitely wayyyy quicker this year.

I'm glad to see they have a one day pass again. Although hopefully we'll get to shoot for the 2 day pass, but those don't go on sale until after pre-sale. Is that right?

By the looks of things it's the same as last year. The only day you can buy single day passes for is Sunday. The only tickets that are sold prior to the regular on sale are 3 day passes, rv passes and car camping passes. I suggest just buying a fishing pass again. haha.

think so? i was wondering that too, just because he's done it before, and it's been awhile since then.

if he does, this thing will get pretty bro'd out. I would hope for the sake of similar vibes that they would stick to their mold last year of basically keeping dubstep out of this festival (there were only a few artists on there last year that play it regularly). It's just the genre that would do the most damage to the experience if it were overly present...

If he plays Friday I don't see it ruining the festival. I don't think Bro's would pay the full price of a 3 day pass to see him and a bunch of people they don't know. If he plays Sunday however, Brofest will commence.

No, not at all. Friday and Saturday were amazing, granted I spent like the whole night at the woogie where it was guaranteed bro free, but Sunday it was noticably more bro'd out and crowded.
