He made a cameo onstage at the George Harrison tribute concert in 2002 at Royal Albert Hall, the one on DVD/Blu.

Petty's last dates in Europe. Before that it was 1987, then 1982. So it's only the 3rd time in 30 years he's bothered to play full shows in Europe.
