YO.
Still wouldn't get me to that dump of a fest
Please check out my blog Sleeping is Giving In for some great mixes and other good things!
I was a big fan for a while (still think late night there is great) but the fest overall is just one ugly dustbowl of filth. There is really no good art that stands out minus the eyesore of that graffiti wall that surrounds the entire venue. There is garbage just everywhere. Plus the camping situation is just way too spread out (I did tent only). Let's not forget the clusterfuck that is getting into the damn fest (I did shuttle bus but friends had an 8+ hour wait and got put in the furthest camping spot possible). It's a poorly run shit show that every now and then gets some really amazing bands and memorable shows but I really can't say it is worth it anymore (and I had fun last year)
But, if Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Underworld, or Prodigy were there I'd be there in a minute.

If I were to go, I think I'd have a lot of fun at this year's fest.
I have fun wherever I go.
It's my unicorn and my magic beans.
Puscifer seems like an odd add. I wonder of they'll let him do the full Puscifer show or just a regular set?

Who is going to this? I have festival fever now, and I'm trying to decide which festival would be the cheapest and most convenient while still having good bands.![]()
upcoming
Bjork doing Biophilia, 6/2 Hollywood Palladium, Los Angeles, CA
Outside Lands, 8/9-11 Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA
--almost, almost, almost the real thing
It's very convenient because it's during summer break. Sasquatch and Outside Lands are not quite within my kids' short summer break.

I may be covering the festival and am significantly less ambivalent by that prospect that since getting advice from Tommy. It will require driving from NYC and back again, but I think I can hack that.
I'm pleased I'll get to see Mogwai after they had to pull out of ATP in Asbury Park.
Eat your heart out Coachella. Bonnaroo just confirmed Kenny Fucking Rogers!
Stagecoach has alabama, they still win. And its sold out.
