Santigold & Mogwai in 5
Yay my favorite Santigold song..... Lights out![]()
Mogwai sounding good too.
Santigold doesn't seem as animated or excited as she did at Coachella. She still sounds good though.
Childish Gambino up next, I remember meeting some friends there after Black lips weekend 2... He did the worst freestlye I've ever seen, I got embarrassed for him and went into the Red Bull Speakeasy.
Gambino killed it !!!!!
who is this guy?
D'Angelo made a surprise appearance last night at Bonnaroo during Questlove's "Superjam," his first performance in the U.S. in over a decade (he's performed in Europe a few times this year). Questlove introduced him by saying, "I've been waiting 12 years to say this -- ladies and gentlemen, D'Angelo!" The jam also featured veteran musicians like bassist Pino Palladino, percussionist Frank Knuckles, saxophonist Eric Leeds, and guitarist Jesse Johnson, who joined Questlove and D'Angelo in covering tracks like Funkadelic's "Hit It & Quit It," The Beatles' "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window," and Led Zeppelin's "What Is and What Should Never Be."
No D'Angelo songs were played during the surprise set, but fans can expect to see him performing original material, old and new, at the Essence Music Festival in July and at Jay-Z's Made In America festival in September.
Kenny Rogers' stage banter is on another level. Dude is hilarious.
Kenny sure does like to talk.
Ohh snaps Just dropped in.
Shins sound terrible.
So I take it The Shins put on the best set of the day.
The Rolling Stones - International Noise Conference: Los Angeles - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - Austra - Colin Stetson - The Pacific Rim Projekt - The National - Goat Rodeo - Hopscotch 2013- GY!BE - Beirut/Vampire Weekend
Weirdo dude blocked the camera's view of the sexy chick dancing. Bonnaroo is obviously the worst.
The stream is barely loading the past 10 minutes. Was hoping it would be decent enough to watch some Phish
Phish brings out Kenny Rogers, playing The Gambler
COVER DOLLY PARTON PHISH
5/25-5/27: MOVEMENT DETROIT
6/6: The Field @ The Independent
6/26: Colin Stetson @ The Chapel
Phish bringing out Kenny Rogers was a feel good moment.
How convenient, I was craving noodles for dinner.
I survived my first (possibly last) Bonnaroo. En route to Brooklyn, having both enjoyed and hated the festival at various times.
On Friday, mid-afternoon, in the throes of heatstroke, a figure emerged from the crowd roughly 20 feet away in Centeroo. A ghostly apparition, it disappeared back into the crowd before I placed the face: It was Ron.
R.I.P. Ron.
Anyone get the Radiohead webcast? I missed most of the main set.
