I live in Missouri and I wouldn't go to Bonnaroo but I will always make the trek for Coachella. It's one of those things where people shouldn't compare them but they have to because most people can't go to multiple festivals in a year, so go with the best right?

I've never been to that part of the states and might go just to see radiohead + couple other random acts (little dragon, mogwai, flylo, st vincent, etc etc). Everyone is always talkin' about the weather. is it really THAT bad? I mean cmon it can't be nowhere near as hot as coach? Or is it just the humidity that kills it for ya. any input would be sauce

They can both be very hot, but the humidity really does get you at Roo. Plus it gets light out around 5 in the morning so its pretty hot by the time 8 or 9 rolls around. But if you like the line-up Roo is lots of fun and the late night shows are awesome.

Pretty solid job with the scheduling, imo. Roots vs Mogwai is rough, but all the 90 mins slots are ace. Friday and Saturday are going to be amazing.

The schedule is actually pretty decent. If I was going, I wouldn't have too many conflicts and I would be busy at almost every point in the day. Especially Saturday. I would probably just stay in That Tent the whole day. With that being said, the Sunday schedule would have a lot of brutal conflicts for me and The Beach Boys are 3:00 is very WTF. But still, great schedule over all.

The only conflicts I would have are The Roots/Mogwai, Santigold/Puscifer, last 30 minutes of Feist/spot for St. Vincent, and Ben Folds Five/Joy Formidable/Kurt Vile. Not too bad. No reason to stick around after 6pm on Sunday. Friday would be spectacular.

i have a few shitty conflicts (notably, JF/KV and Puscifer/SBTRKT) and the late nights on saturday are not ideal imo but it's going to be a hell of a weekend.

Indeed. I laid out my tentative daily schedule, though much of it was based on my personal taste and I have to make an effort to put that aside from time to time for the sake of the full experience.

after waiting to get a flight to nashville, the price has jumped to twice to what i'd normally pay. i have decided to drive to roo. an ~12hr trip. haven't taken a trip like that since 2007.

we did a 15 hour drive last year to roo. it was brutal.

Thanks for posting that, Ron. I was planning on wearing the exact same outfit as the moose, and we'd have looked absolutely ridiculous.
