I found two skooma off some jive orc that got killed by a dragon. I bet his skooma trip took a horrific turn when that beast came down from the sky... I was glad though, because that junkie orc was attacking me before the dragon came.

I'm sitting on almost 10k gold and I really don't want the house in Whiterun so I'll wait.

There's nicer houses in Solitude I believe.

Yeah, Solitude is really nice. The house there costs $15,000. I've been saving up for it. I'm almost there - I have about $12,000. The Solitude jarl's quests aren't that hard either, and they're pretty cool.

I need to adopt Gemma's strategy. I don't seem to be following any one questline to its fruition. I was amused when I ran across New Gnisis Cornerclub though. Morrowind references ftw.

Is there a Windhelm equivalent for the Empire? I haven't really figured that out yet.

I bought that house. Three corpses. Would not buy again.

    Three corpses?

I bought the house in Whiterun and decorated all the rooms. I usually just use to drop crap off into containers. It's also nice to visit Lydia from time to time. I don't let her go on any adventures. When I first got the house, she just walked around the area outside her little room. Now, she spends all her time sitting at the little table in my room, eating bread and drinking. Oh, Lydia... I wish I had the option of telling her to go out and talk to that blacksmith girl at the place next-door every now and then. She's going to get fat just sitting around all day. But I know if I take her with me, she's going to die, and it's probably going to be because I dragon shouted her off some mountain.

Edit: Oh, and one time, she met me at the top of the stairs and said, "I'm glad we're friends," and she gave me an axe. Maybe the axe she would have used if I let her go on adventures. I didn't realize that was her way of telling me, "I guess I don't need this. I'm going to eat bread in your room."

Galmar Stone-Fist is a mouthbreather, and that Free-Winter fellow I believe is on point.

I dunno but Windhelm is... insular, like Mississippi or Arizona; I'm not sure if I end up joining the Stormcloaks. I need to find a more sophisticated city soon -- I hear Solitude is mad and artsy, sounds chill.

Ulfric is a vain dick but I'm still going Stormcloak. I don't think I'll live in Windhelm but I'm not joining the Empire.

It would be nice if NPCs would not get in my way when they're joining me on adventures.

I mean, you'd think that having two thieves in my party, they would be smart enough to stay the fuck back and attack from the shadows... but no, those bitches ran right out and started slashing shit when we could have just sat back and let those muthafuckas freak the fuck out cause they didn't know where they were being killed from.

And of course due to the nature of the quest I couldn't just tell them to wait for me somewhere while I ran ahead and sniped the shit out of everyone.

While I totally agree with the sentiment, it can have some pretty hilarious consequences...

I was coming back from the first Companions quest with Varkas and decided to kill some Giants outside Whiterun, forgetting that Varkas was still with me. As I maged them from behind cover, Varkas repeatedly rushed in, each time getting sent to the heavens with one hit. I couldn't stop laughing.

New video card works ran it beautifully without crashing for 10 blissful minutes. Then my girlfriend came over. Tonight, I'm going to nerd out hard on this. No one can stop me.

Alright, finally picked this up. I know you can essentially do whatever you'd like in this game... but does anyone have any advice on what should be done first?
