How easy? I've never tried it out myself, which I can't believe after all these years of sneaking stuff into concerts.

I had two friends get kicked out for having smuggled alcohol last year. I think it was because "they looked drunk," though.

Having it in the venue is a different story, I was just taking about getting caught trying to bring it in. If you do get caught in the venue do the same thing you (should) do when cops see you drinking in the streets: pour it out as soon as they see you, even before they ask, and just co-operate. Either that or make a break for it. The second is prefered if you are underage.

Buy a couple cheap bottles of water like purelife or whatever and try and get the cap off without the safety seal coming off, it's not too hard. If you have issues try dunking the top of the water bottle in a pot of boiling water to soften it up. Once it's off it screws right back on.

Since they allow food in zip lock bags you can also soak your fruit in your alcohol of choice and have lots of "juice" in the bag with the fruit and use it in your drink inside the venue. I really do not care about drinking during the music so no big issue for me but the kids like to drink all day and not have to pay so much for it inside the fest. They have never checked any of the food we bring in so I think that is pretty safe.

I seriously can't get over how fucking stupid and worthless that "Maine" stage is going to be. Complete waste of space and a name that will surely confuse people all weekend long. Way to go, Sasquatch.

I agree that the Maine stage is a joke. I still don't understand the point of having a stage that has three acts a day of all local hip hop anyway. How does that map look otherwise to people who have been before? I guess I didn't realize there were ponds at the fest.

Everything else is just about the same as it has always been. Not sure what the "Plaza of Awesome" is, though.

The pond is pretty far away and aside from entering and leaving the fest you don't even see it. The scale on that map is not exact. It looks like they might have moved the dance tent a little bit but it's hard to tell. Other than that everything looks about the same.

Damn! One thing I have been kind of mourning about Sasquatch vs. Coachella is lack of art and "cool things to look at" besides, you know, the gorgeous view and stuff.

I wonder who plays in the acoustic tent and when we will find out.

Instead of awesome art installations, Sasquatch is littered with obnoxious sponsor advertisements. That's my only big gripe about that festival.

They did have the worlds largest shower last year! I am unsure if they broke the world record or not. I just remember seeing people in furry animal costumes running around soaking wet last year haha

Well, the pond isn't THAT far away, it's just that there is no reason to walk past it randomly as there is nothing but the entrance gates on the other side. Regardless, it isn't that cool to look at, it's just a little pond.

Last year at the DMB Caravan tour Jeep had a course that they did test drives on and it went through the ends of the southern most pond and it was actually sort of cool. Still just advertising of course but they were going up the hills and through the pond and I got a video going through the course. Otherwise the ponds just are there.

Even though there is no "human created art" at the gorge the view really sort of makes that a non issue once you are there:-)
