Anybody on site yet? 40m out and completely stoked for some Spicy Pie!
I reflect on the fact that I didn't listen to any Beck, Stevie, Foos, or Metallica in prep for the festival. Strong lineup needs no preparation.
Very jealous of everyone who is attending this festival
Have a great time
Not on site, but three miles away. Weather is beautiful here right now, but will be something different at the fest. Definitely sunny though. I think it will be warmer than Friday of last year.
I agree on the no preparation for the big guys. Although I did listen to a little Stevie to get me pumped.
Waiting in line to get in at the entrance by sutro! Why the fuck is this taking so long? Doors supposed to open at 11
Neil Young was dynamite. Best set of the day!

I made the epic mistake of leaving Neils set early then seeing 2nd half of Justice
Holy cow that was even colder than I expected. Since I already saw Justice twice at Coachella this year, I'm guessing it was a good call to stay for the entire Neil Young set (though I was walking out during the encore). Beck meetup fail on my part because I forgot to check on here for whom I'm supposed to look for. Anyhow, I'm an Asian chick in an oversized grey hoodie, jeans, and boonie hat all weekend, so if you run into me, don't be afraid to say hi!

Neil Young. Good fucking god. Was any song less than 10 minutes (sans Needle and the Damage Done, which should have continued forever). Wow. What a show. Powderfinger!!!!

You expected him to play droney, sludgy noise rock? I sure didn't. Awesome, awesome set.
EDIT: Nor was I expecting him to pull out "Roll Another Number" (likely my favorite Neil song) or anything else off Tonight's the Night. That was great.
This.
Who wants to hold hands with me and twirl during Sigur Ros?

Neil continues to prove why he's grunge's godfather with his heavy shredding and flannel.
Dave Grohl dispenses with his usual talkative self and still hits the vast majority of the Foo Fighters hits.
Beck does perhaps his best possible Festival setlist in the time he's given.
Food was a letdown, except for the fried chicken and jalapeno slaw sandwich - everything is "sold out". Oh well, Spicy Pie for the win!
Hope to see less confused girls wearing shorts and freezing to death tonight. The weather report is on your phone, ladies!
In all, a really strong day on the main stage. Let's see if The Kills can smolder their way to the same intensity before Metallica tonight!
One my friends texted me saying that Beck was the set of the day and based on that setlist I can see why.
Good first day. Reggie watts was hilarious , glad they let the walkmen play their set even after showing up late. Of monsters and men were great. Sadly during Neil young I met two of the biggest assholes of my life as they tried to smash past be when the crowd was full and they show up right before the set starts.I told them no and got the boy you dont want to do something stupid talk. This pissed me off and I almost got into a fight so had to go watch justice lol. Oh well see you all in the park today ! Sigur ros fan should calm my nerves.
Gunna try my luck buying a ticket from someone in front of the fest today lol

Camped right up front for beck and the foo fighters! Both amazing sets.
Beck was incredible. So much energy in the beginning that melted away into Golden Age, Lost Cause, and After the Goldrush (amazing as fuck). Really happy I was able to see him at the El Rey a few weeks ago to get the taste of both sets. So much more Sea Change in LA, but this setlist was a lot of fun. Kicking ofF a set with Black Tambourine > Devil's Haircut> Novacane > Loser was insane.
Sharon Van Etten> Reggie Watts > Fitz and the Tantrums (just to get close for Beck) > Beck > Antibalas > Foo Fighters (to get close for Neil)> Neil fucking Young. Great day, today should be great too!
