My apologies i must've over looked it puck!! They dont feel obligated to pick up what coachella didn't, just theres only so many headliners on tour its gonna have the recycling process..Did you forget that TBK and Arctic monkeys were both at OSL last year and now they play at coachella.

ALSO, just a thought...The Mars Volta are coming out with a new album in March, Coachella got ATDI, If OSL got The Mars Volta that would be a solid act in my book..Kinda a 1 up factor to me

I could see Norah Jones playing. She's playing the Hollywood Bowl on 8/10, so the timing makes sense...

The Mars Volta played in 2009. TMV is not TBK (who is the only act who has repeated to date, that I am aware of). Ain't gonna happen. Plus, how is booking TMV a "1 up factor" over ADTI? Please share your brilliance with the rest of us, Bluntmaster.

I could have sworn Atmosphere played both in 08 and 09 but according to that link they didn't. Am I wrong or is the Wikipedia page wrong?

Under which logic would booking an act that has been consistently touring for the past 8 tears anywhere near as elusive as booking the reunion of a band that hasn't toured almost a decade.

I would think we are going to get some repeat bands this year. There have been a couple already, and there are going to be more this year.

What about some bands that should have came through last OSL but didn't make it for one reason or another, i.e. TV on the Radio, Animal Collective, and Primus? They all seem to be likely OSL bands.

What local bands will be playing - I could see Thee Oh Sees, maybe even Ty Segall again since he's supposed to be putting out two new records this year and should be gaining popularity.

The High Sierra Festival is supposed to be announcing its line-up soon, and if you're playing High Sierra then you are most likely not playing OSL. So we can cross more bands off the list coming up soon.

I would love go see tv on the radio again at osl. Would be awesome if animal collective play this year, but I would guess that they would sub headline. Also would like to see dj shadow, grizzly bear, crystal castles, james murphy, santogold, flying lotus, nosaj thing and big boi should actually perform this year. But another planet is probably gonna save some of these for treasure island

I stated my opinion man, I dont mind the criticism haha. The Mars Volta are a grammy winnning band that have soo many different styles in their performances. Don't get me wrong ATDI is where it all started and they fucking are one of my favorite bands. I just think TMV would be a top notch act to see. My opinion, say what you want. GEEZUS CHRIST get me your input i guess.

I would much rather see ATDI. Hopefully they make it happen since they don't have a SF date scheduled. Either they play at OSL or they do a show at the Greek which would be pretty spectacular.

Some of you are missing the point. TMV just played in 2009. The crowd was pretty thin for that set. Zero sum gain for APE to book them again this soon. They just don't draw a crowd any more.

They had their moments opening up for Soundgarden, but they mostly showcased new shit and it was pretty much this.

If you didn't see them prior to Bedlam, I'd say your fucked.

This, but to their defense for the crowd they were also against Dave Matthews Band. Not saying if they weren't there wouldn't have been a major difference but just something to factor in. Then again I was at DMB so I couldn't tell you how they were anyways.

I havent even seen them since they toured for Bedlam. And except for a couple shows here where they played some older material, it hasnt seen worth it to bother anymore.

Yeah but I also happen to be a fan of DMB, well at least their live performances. I also happened to be with my brother who is crazy about them, which unfortunately meant camping out to get a good spot which meant sitting through Jason Mraz and Black Eye Peas, not my proudest day of festival viewing. Plus a ton of people love them and they are geared more for OSL target audience then TMV. While I do enjoy them nowhere near the extent of my brother or all of the other crazies. But yes I do get your point and agree, not looking good for TMV.
