Dude. Flask. Easy.
Please, acasey, make it rubbing alcohol and rid yourself of any lingering brain cells.

A flask of any size is way too small for a full day festival. My container fits 40oz and has never been detected.
I made a google doc with the schedule so you can customize it how you want

Note: I used a coachella one i got from these forums earlier this year. I forgot who originally made it, but thanks to whoever did!
If you can't figure out how to sneak in alcohol, you really shouldn't be drinking.

Yeah plus it's extremely easy to. I've always just put a flask in my waistband, some tall cans in wrapped in a blanket in my bag and have been fine every time. Even once the flask was in my pocket and still made it through. Unless if they decide to change security this year it's the easiest security to get through.
Outside Lands iPhone, Android and Blackberry app is out. It has the Map and an Instagram type photo thing built in...

...and it has menu's for food vendors!

Certainly, let's all discuss how lax security is and how easy it is to sneak in prohibited substances on a very public forum.

Don't do this because I got caught doing this last year. I suggest that you fill up the water bottle with vodka and then shove that fucker up your ass, don't forget to lube it up first. It's the only guaranteed way to sneak in alcohol. They are pretty strict on security at OSL and they'll check everything but your ass.

Anybody know if there is a BART station close to the Park/venue? Within walking distance that is. I'm probably going to be heading back to Oakland each night and staying at a friends apartment. Not to familiar with public transit on that side of town. I remember trying to grab a bus last year after Hardly Strictly Bluegrass and it was damn near impossible. I can't imagine OSL being any different.
There is no BART station within walking distance from GG park. Your best bet would be to BART to Balboa and then take the 29 out to the park. A little out of the way, but will probably result in less traffic on the way home.

taking bart to montgomery and then taking the 38L out to about 25th is a decent option as well then you just have to walk like 5 blocks. Getting back on the 38 however was a bit of a nightmare last year.
Better than the Balboa stn plan (wtf?!). As far out as Balboa stn is, coupled with the few buses that will be running to/from there (remember, they will be adding a bunch of extra 5-Fultons) will more than surely not be worth all that extra hassle/travel time.
Just take BART to Powell Stn and cross the street to the bus stn outside of the Gap store and take either the 5 or 31 and that will get you to the park (if you take 31, you will be on Balboa only a few blocks north of the park). You can do the same going home...just be aggressive for getting on/off the buses.
The Balboa plan is foolproof. I used it last year and was home to Oakland quite quickly.

Looks like they moved the. Barbary tent this year
How is the DNA Lounge, worth checking out? I want to try and make it to the teengirl fantasy show friday. Also, is it a reasonable distance from the festival?
Wow. Thanks for the help everyone. Now that I have some ideas I'll try and map it out. Does anyone know if they are extending the BART hours as well? Doesn't it normally stop running at midnight?
Except NYE?

There will be lockers this year at OSL for a great price. For only ten dollars, you can snag a large one for the weekend.
Any tips on the best places to park?
