That Sigur Ros/Metallica conflict is just painful. But everything else seems to work out well for me. Although I am wondering if I should even see The Walkmen knowing that I will miss a chunk of Beck's set...

i feel like coachella 09 billed franz way too high. i think sometimes coachella bills acts high because they are predicting they will soon become really famous and that just didn't happen with franz ferdinand. franz ferdinand is famous but not sub headliner famous. but outside lands did bill bloc party and franz ferdinand reaaly low. but its cool cause i think franz ferdiand early in the day on the main stage will be nice.

No but for real, he may just wow me. Never know. Bloc has higher priority though and I will be leaving at some point to post up for them.
If you are going to Jack White's set, only to see Seven Nation Army, I think you will be pleasantly surprised by his other songs. I cannot imagine anyone who see's JW live, not becoming an instant fan. He is incredible. His set is going to blow people away!

He is a guitar virtuoso. Sometimes that doesn't come out on the CD but when you see him live the dude just wails.

Oh shit. The Jack White crowd is growing too large!

Don't see Jack White. I heard his solo tour is boring. Santigold is AMAZING live!

after spending over a week in the hospital and losing 3 weeks of work with only 1 week of sick time to cover it, I'm kind of forced to sell my 3 day tickets. I have 2 tickets and I'll let them go for early bird prices + fees if any of you are interested. PM me!

I'm really bummed and thought this was the year I'd finally make it out to OSL but my gallbladder had other plans.

So I purchased an 18 ounce flask - and I estimate I will have finished the contents in under 2 hours of festival entry each day.

Well, I wouldn't be going just for that, but that's the White Stripes song I have most appreciated and I'll probably feel accomplished and ready to roll after hearing it live. I'm definitely familiar with The White Stripes' work, but was just never impressed by it. I liked Raconteurs more (and I wasn't huge on them either). His solo album is probably my least favorite thing he's released. But I'm told that White's guitar skills aren't really showcased through his recorded work. I'll enjoy his act (based on live videos), but I'll probably keep the same opinions on his albums.

    Again, who knows.

Jack White AND his band were good at Sasquatch. Still not really a fan though.

Pretty easy to sneak in booze if you actually think for just a second. Read the FAQ.

If you haven't seen Jack White, you shouldn't pan on seeing anything else during that block of time. You definitely will not want to leave once he gets going.

His set time is too short for my tastes, but hopefully he still finds time to rip through Ball and Biscuit or some other epic JW grindshredathon. Or maybe he'll show up and steal some of The Kills' set for a White/Moshart sinfully good blues tear. But that's hoping for too much.

If you have seen JW and weren't impressed.... I guess music is subjective, and that's all that can be said. To each their own, but the short list of artists I'd see over JW includes mostly dead guys, and he'd probably skip playing to see them too.

a hint of spf. . . that could work.
i was also thinking of getting one of those mini waterbottles, taking of the paper that goes around the middle, cutting a slit and draining the water, fill it with vodka, duct tape it up, PUT THE PAPER BACK ON AAAAND
UN OPENED WATER BOTTLE FULLA BOOZE!
