one might think this was the only good band playing outside lands.

So where do I start with Portugal. the Man? Should I check out the latest two albums and go from there?
I got a feeling conflicts are going to be a bitch this year. There are so many good bands as I have been exploring the middle of the line-up (Alabama Shakes and Tame Impala being two that I have been recently digging.)
I hope we get a day by day breakdown and a couple adds in the near future.
All of their albums are good, each is a little different from the others. Waiter: "You Vulture" is a great album to start with. American Ghetto, In The Mountains In The Clouds, Church Mouth, Censored Colors all have solid tracks on them. It's Complicated Being a Wizard is fun experimental electroish album they put out a few years back that is one 23 min long track.
I think you should start with The Satanic Satanist, crazy good album. They've released a good record literally every year since 2006 though.

RIP The White Stripes 1997-2011
there is no good reason as to why the local box offices weren't selling tickets from the day they went on-sale. the ticketbastard service and in-convenience fees don't support the local economy. I don't think the local box offices really make any $ off it either, as they just use ticketbastard to issue the tickets, but still, help the locals out. the $25-35 per ticket saved in fees would go right back into other APE shows or towards food & drink at the festival itself.
Actually, they have been available since day one (at the Fox at least). My brother bought OSL tickets at the Fox box office the day they went on sale. I bought mine the Tuesday after (because I was there for the St. Vincent/tune-yards show). They have been on sale at those places, just not advertised on the site (for whatever reason).

No I really don't. Last year Muse was the Saturday headliner and I would say they are more popular then Arcade Fire. Two years ago the Saturday was Furthur and the Sunday was KoL. Any other area I would say KoL are but not in the city. I think the past few years Saturday has been the most crowded simply due to it being the nicest day weather wise which prompted more day of show ticket sales.
