Palm Springs Shuttle Line - How long does it take?

I took the La Quinta shuttle last year and if I remember correctly it was about 20-30 minutes from our pick up spot at the La Quinta Resort to the drop-off spot at the festival.

This year I'm considering staying in Palm Springs this year as hotels and house rentals in Indio/La Quinta seem to keep getting ridiculously higher every year.

Did anyone take one of the Palm Springs shuttles last year, and if so how long was the ride each way?

What sort of waiting line is to be expected, both to and from the festival? I took line 2 (palm desert) last year. No wait either coming or going (ridership was so light the bus driver happily dropped us off at our house on night 1), but other shuttle lines looked absolutely mobbed at the end of the night. Also, is it possible to park at the strip mall pick up location in Palm Springs?

The first day I waited 30 minutes to depart Palm Springs - the other days about 10 minutes. I left about 11 pm or so each night, and waited 5-15 minutes - though the wait was on the bus (not standing around). The ride itself was about 45 minutes - depending on traffic.

Do the shuttles have to sit in traffic while coming/going to the site, or do they use some of the closed-off streets?

they use closed-off streets as they approach the polo grounds
