Coachella vs stagecoach ticket prices

I came on a year or cpl years ago complaining about the ticket price difference between the two even though its ran by same company .So i hear its(stagecoach) only two days which still didnt bear out in prices per day or three day.

Now take a look at the number of performers on the last Coachella line-up.

Notice something?

Coachella has more performers. That means it takes more money to make the line up each year for Coachella than Stagecoach. Thus, they need to charge more to a) afford to put on Coachella, and b) still make a profit.

Stagecoach is what, 40 acts on 3 stages, compared to Coachella's 150+ on 5 stages.

Coachella is 6 stages with the dome (Pure Filth Stage -is that correct?- in 2011), 8 if you include the Do Lab and Heineken Dome (which also ups the number of acts way past 150).

without even looking at this year's past lineup i'm going to wager most if not ALL of stagecoach performers are coming from within the continental 48 states. lower travel costs = lower performer fees = lower ticket prices.
