I like Jason Aldean, reminds me a bit of Lucero(damn, I wish they were playing this). I'm extremely interested in going to this.

Was there a crossover act for 2011?

I'm not a real fan of country music by an means but in my opinion I think this is the best stage coach lineup yet. If I was actually still living in So Cal I would be very tempted to make this my first one to go.

I was going to say Trampled by Turtles but they played Stagecoach in 2010 and Coachella in 2011. Some of the guys are playing in a new band called Dead Man Winter that I like. I stuck a video of their song Nicotine in the Addictions thread.

Wonder if Doublechella makes crossover acts less likely - 3 weekends in a row? I was thinking maybe Dawes but they're not booked for Stagecoach. They are big in Twin Cities - seeing them 11/4 w/Blitzen Trapper and they'll be back 12/31 for a NYE show.

This lineup is good for us cool people, but it seems like it is pretty weak for your average top 40 country fan, which was their target demographic for previous festivals.

I dont think it matters that much, people come back to it cause its nice weather/vibe etc. It sold out last year, and had their biggest attendance figures. Theyre good with not having a crazy crazy stacked line up for once.

They'll come out in large numbers strictly for the beer drinking and Brad Paisley.

They have to be wary of stacking the lineup so they can keep acts for next year. Country acts are a smaller pool to draw from and there going to be more repeats than Chella.

Aldean sold out 23,000 cap. Shoreline Amphitheater on a Wednesday night here in July so he's a bit more popular that you might think.

and for those that care, he put on a hell of a show as well.

I saw Little Jimmy Dickens at Stagecoach. He was 88 - and had the energy of a person 30 years younger!

Out of sheer morbid curiosity I looked at their forum yesterday, the lineup is universally praised. I think that Aldean and Lambert are sort of up and coming headliners, but everybody seems pretty excited.

Hoping this is a sign of an excellent Coachella lineup to come.

Yeah, that's not really true at all. My brother and his girlfriend are big country fans and they said this is the first lineup that was so good they couldn't pass it up.

I have several country fan friends that go to Stagecoach every year and they are shitting their pants with excitement right now about this lineup.

I like this lineup alot but (duhn duhn duhnnnn) could this be Stagecoach's 2008?

I'd love to see The Mavericks. Got into them via the Gram Parsons tribute album Return of the Grievous Angel which, if you are posting here at all, you need to check out.

there is every year.. the mojave is entirely bluegrass (and some folk), the Sahara is the old-timey stuff and non-country genres (rockabilly, etc)..

the lineup always comes out end of october/beginning of november.. it's 3 days AGAIN, like it was in '08 when Eagles played Friday (which is what i expect Alabama is doing)

Isaak will be in the Sahara (or the Mustang, whatever they call it), which is why he is billed there..

i'm not so sure, i've seen a few (how old is Glen Campbell? George Jones? Earl Skaggs? Willie Nelson?).. but i've seen Ralph Stanley both times he's played, and he is amazinggg! (although horrible sound bleed from Main in 09)

i doubt it..95% of stagecoach fans only go for the headliners (exact polar opposite of most of us), you'd be surprised how empty the sahara is for fairly big names

i wouldn't call Lambert an up & comer, this is her 3rd Stagecoach, always on main stage, in 09 she was a subheadliner..

    no, Stagecoach 2008 was Stagecoach's 2008

to be fair, i've gone every year they had it (except this year, horrid retreaded lineup)

im kinda curious is dani has worked stagecoach, OBV its not chella, but it is kinda fun, and verrrry trippy to see after being at chella wknd before..hehe

waaay more booze at stagecoach, and i saw more pot smoke clouds at willie & kris kristopherson than any act i've ever seen at coachella. really.

Miranda Lambert is Stagecoach's Arcade Fire, she was bound to headline. I listen to some country with my best friend, and she's digging the lineup, I may actually go to this since there's Top 40 crap for her and bluegrass for me. Plus, STEVE FUCKING MARTIN

    Maybe George Strait?
