I could see them headlining actually.
Yes!!
2010 * 2011 * 2012.1 * 2013.2
I doubt that Modest Mouse would headline, but could see them as first or second on the second line. Definitely top subheadliners.
Yeah, they've got my vote, even though people have said that sometimes they're great live and sometimes they're terrible. I've only gotten into them in the past year.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.

They just announced some Nov dates on their website - 2 shows in TX and a festival in Brazil.
They're SO awesome live.
I've heard so many great things about Modest Mouse live, but when I saw them at the Street Scene in 2009, they were completely dead. No energy at all. But I would definitely give them another chance if they played Coachella 2012.
amazing that they haven't played since '99.
and i'm wondering why the fuck i didn't catch them at SS09.
edit - damn, looks like i was at Donald Glaude then Girl Talk...

You know who else headlined Sasquatch? Ween. I guess that means they can headline too, eh?
Also, the Killers/Jack Johnson argument is and always will be extremely weak. I dislike both artists but it's pretty obvious they're big enough to headline.
You know why the Killers and Jack Johnson are headliners and Modest Mouse isn't? Because they're infinitely more successful in terms of record sales and are vastly more popular.

it should also be pointed out (again) that Isaac hates festivals. He berated the P4k crowd in '10 for buying bottled water on a 98F day in July, and played a shitty setlist.
edit: and i'm pretty sure someone (dorkfish maybe?) will tell you that they hate coachella even more. don't remember why.
seems to be OK with Sasquatch though ...
