i recently moved to the OC from out East and very eager to attend my first Coachella this April! but in the mean time im lookin to get my groove on and was hoping some fellow music lovers could point me in the right direction! Venues and Artists playing near-by would be helpful!

Dim Mak Wednesdays, Sutra, Detroit Bar fridays, Yost theatre, Focus Tuesdays, some other spots, wear your +5 charisma ring and +7 anti-douche cape. I went to one of these shindigs on a friday and saw some guys sitting on the floor of a bar getting a light show. Fucking stupid, but it was where the scene was at...

But digital dragon is right - Go to LA. You get the backwash performances in OC. Better venues, interesting crowds. Not to say that everyone in OC is a smug jerk, but you find people in LA are more open to conversation with random people than folks in OC.

Oh and stay away from Main St. Huntington beach for bar hopping.

What's wrong with Main St. Huntington Beach. I'm not the biggest fan of it but I don't see anything wrong with it. Maybe because I'm from there I'm just blind to it.

my friend has a store in the Old World plaza in Huntington. If you're in the area, it's a good place to put your hands on records and talk shit with the folks in the store: DJ Culture.

I love Dj Culture. You can also hit up Merge Tuesdays at Club Bleu. I think thats how they spell it. Its all dubstep
