I would rather have the electric zoo phase 1 lineup that what is currently confirmed for edc + MTV leak... I was seriously rolling my eyes after reading each artist.

I would kill to see a bassnectar set where he played his older, Mezmorizing the Ultra tracks. Unfortunately those days are long gone and now he appeals to the masses
Looks like Kaskade is headlining the main stage on day 1, check his Facebook...
I saw him at the Hollywood Palladium where he played a longer set than he would at a festival and he played a lot of his earlier stuff. When he plays at festivals he has to play a shorter set so he pretty much only plays his "hits." Here's a link to a recent interview that I think you should read, so you can see where he's coming from and what direction he's going in:
http://www.nuvo.net/indianapolis/int...nt?oid=2436106
"The record's kind of like a sequel to Divergent Spectrum because each song is really different from the next, and it continues to show and express that I don't really have one specific Bassnectar sound. So when people online are like, "You should play your old style. You should go to your roots!", to me, it just shows that the person has no idea what my roots are, because I do really like punk rock music. And I really like dubstep. And I really like downtempo. And I really like music that doesn't even have a beat. I like music that doesn't even have bass: I like tender, emotional music that makes you cry, and I like ugly, filthy, dirty music too. It's important to me to represent every point on that spectrum."
Do you prefer smaller clubs, like The Bluebird, or mid-sized theaters, or large festivals like what you played last night?
"I love it all. And everything's different. A festival is more like a big freakout, full-blast anthem after anthem after anthem, and everyone's attention spans are short, and there are a million things happening all around. Then an actual show is much more focused if it's an extended set that gets up to a few hours, and it can get more cinematic. I almost plan out my sets like special acts in a play. That goes deeper.
Sometimes the shows are just as big as a festival, kind of like the best of both worlds and everything in between. If it's a smaller venue, that probably means I'm going to emerge covered in sweat, because things get hot!"

Where's Underworld and Mew? Make it happen GV.
"Last year’s introduction to Las Vegas was a remarkable event for Insomniac, gathering more than 230,000 people in the desert for an exciting new chapter in Electric Daisy Carnival history,” said Pasquale Rotella, founder and CEO of Insomniac Events. “As dance music continues to explode on a global scale, we’ll continue to push the boundaries of what makes Insomniac unique: a fully immersive festival experience that features hundreds of theatrical performers, interactive art installations, pyrotechnics and special effects, state of the art production, not to mention the largest stage in North America. I’m excited to share what we’ve been developing since last year’s show with our incredible fans.”
Consistently devoted to creating a multisensory experience within each festival, Insomniac has established a unique partnership to bring the Las Vegas Strip to the EDC attendees. Blue Man Group will bring a captivating experience to the fans. Wildly popular around the world, Blue Man Group defies simple description. This explosion of color, humor, music, and technology comes to life every night in the custom-built Blue Man Group theatre at The Venetian® in Las Vegas and live performance installations in six other cities across four continents.
This year’s festival will also bring European hardstyle powerhouse, Q-dance, to fans in Las Vegas for the company’s first ever debut in the United States. Adding a seventh stage, Insomniac and Q-dance have come together to bring the harder styles of dance music to EDC attendees for three full nights.
The Bassrush stage will be returning to EDC for a second year in Las Vegas, and the bass-music brand will be featuring a smaller festival in Las Vegas on the Thursday of EDC Week.
Insomniac will transform the Speedway into a completely interactive carnival experience featuring an additional 500 theatrical performers, including fire twirlers, aerialists, dancers, and stilt walkers, plus numerous full size amusement rides and attractions that are free for all ticket holders. The 1,000-acre complex will become a fully immersive audiovisual experience with dynamic large-scale art installations creating interactive environments amidst the seven stages, along with state-of-the-art lighting and sound production and a pyrotechnics display and military flyover nightly.

So they have the same headliners again? Not suprising.
Acid Save Your Soul. holy fuck
Only thing that surprised me was Blue Man Group.

I wonder what "Flying Lotus Girls" will be
Richie Hawtin presents Enter.
what is that?
Do you people really expect diversity at these festivals?
Upcoming Shows:
Pitchfork Festival: 7/19 @ Union Park
Mountain Oasis Festival: 10/25-27
Flying Lotus Girls & Zomboy should have been Flying Lotus & Zomby.
This will kind of make up for not going to Coachella 2003 when Blue Man Group played

...and ticket bought.
Maybe none of these names are headliners.. it's not like they are required to release headliners first. These names are there to sell tickets, as you can see they tried to throw out a handful of names for different crowds and went heavy on the commercial stuff. In reality this is probably 1/3 of the total number.
Insomniac has petitioned the LVFD to increase the capacity by 30k, don't know if this is for 1 day or total capacity, but it could be something / someone awesome. It's glass half full but why not? We know for a fact that Prydz is playing summer fests in the US and I don't see his name on any lineups yet.
Moby makes me happy, sad to see so much recycled from last year

January thru April 29th - The worst time of the year here.
Kaskade is on that list and apparently he is headlining on the first day.
Either way, there are a bunch of names here I would like to see. Really intrigued by "Richie Hawtin presents Enter" and I'm curious if blue man group is going to be their own show, or if they will be performing with one of the DJ's.
It just won't be the same without Ridha playing a sunrise set...
Coachella Weekend #1
Is this just the "phase 1" lineup that everyone was talking about? Should we be expecting some more "big" names to be announced? I'm still hoping for more dubstep and BNR/Ed Banger to make an appearance...
It's annoying that the repeats are always shitty cheese and dubstep... I'd rather they repeat acts like Pleasurekraft and Boys Noize. Or bring back SMD (live). (I know they were not there last year but they have played other Insomniac events in the past)
Coachella Weekend #1
Yes needs mo pleasurekraft
