Lynch pleads guilty to avoid jail time...
Pat Lynch Pleads Guilty in Coliseum Case
Former GM admits to one count; avoids jail time
Former Los Angeles Coliseum General Manager Pat Lynch has avoided a jail sentence for his involvement in an alleged kickback scheme by pleading guilty March 29 to one count of felony conflict of interest.
Lynch, 55, had been charged with conspiracy and embezzlement for allegedly taking kickbacks from a janitorial contractor. According to an indictment unsealed Monday, Lynch was accused of ordering a rate increase for the coliseum’s custodial contractor, Tony Estrada, and then receiving kickbacks over four years, allegedly deposited to a bank account in Miami.
Lynch is one of six defendants in the corruption probe that alleges rave promoters paid former Assistant General Manager Todd DeStefano $1.89 million in kickbacks to host events like Monster Massive and Electric Daisy Carnival at the Coliseum. Also indicted are promoters Pasquale Rotella from Insomniac Productions and Reza Gerami of Go Ventures, along with Estrada and former Coliseum Technology Manager Leopold Caudillo Jr.
The plea bargain Lynch reached with prosecutors allows the former GM to avoid jail time but requires him to pay $385,000 in restitution along with 1,500 hours of community service.
"Mr. Lynch's guilty plea means different things to different people. For him, it means that he will not serve any jail time, and his own legal ordeal is over, but he must immediately return all of the money he now admits he received improperly,” said attorney Steve Adelman, an attorney focusing on live entertainment and an instructor for the International Association of Venue Managers’ Academy for Venue Safety & Security.
“For the remaining defendants, the Lynch plea agreement means that they can call him as a witness to support their claims that he authorized their actions on behalf of the Coliseum,” Adelman added, “but as an admitted felon regarding related business dealings, his credibility is damaged."
Lynch will return for formal sentencing on June 26 and was released on his own recognizance. Rotella, DeStefano and Gerami are all out on bail. Caudillo and Estrada have not been arrested or arraigned because they have been out of the country.
Gary Beck confirmed June 9 through email from his agency![]()

Ya'll would be well-served to give this a whirl and pay homage to the creators. Without Detroit, Chicago, and this lineup there would be no EDC.

There'll probably be a hardstyle stage
Big Bassrush party thurs before EDC
18+ too, fingers crossed for andy c, would like to see high contrast again too
His set at EDC last year was far from the best High Contrast set I've heard.
