I heard the guys from NFG on Loveline a couple weeks ago so i guess they're pushing their new album in a big way. I really only listen to loveline and kevin & Bean though so I'm not super familiar with the rotation nowadays.

Whatever the san diego shows are doing plus 1 or 2 "Kroq bands". Florence, DCFC, Foster the People, Cage the Elephant, Noel Gallegher, etc.
I'd be impressed with Kroq if they brought My Morning Jacket but it wont happen with their own gig happening at Gibson the same month. And because kroq sucks.
I know right? Perhaps they are actually putting pit and good seats on sale but you have to pay a premium.

Oh yeah, weird. The KROQ website specifially says:
Tickets are $75 + fees.
Are there different prices for different seats? No
Maybe there's some sort of VIP package that livenation is putting together. Anyway, the majority of these ticket sales go to charity, so it's hard to be angry about prices, especially when you consider that for probably 80%+ of the people going this is one of the only concerts they attend all year and they get to see all their favorite radio bands in one place.

But ddrrrrriiiiinnnnnkkkkyyyy.
The show isn't exactly what I want and I go to shows all the time. Why isn't it what IIIIIIII want?
I do find it odd that people get their panties in a bunch over the line ups of radio station shows that are filled with bands that that the radio station plays incessantly and have no problem selling out to the people who love the radio station and the bands it plays.

Weds morning, it even says it on the front page of their website, but youre probably too lazy to check that.
Theyre form l.a., it wont be suprising. And theyll have played l.a. like 20 times this year, omg so rare.
I have no doubt about that.

Looks like they probably spent all their time on night 1. The top 4 bands have all sold out Verizon on their own in the last few months. I'm guessing KROQ throws a curveball for night 2. Death Cab and Foster The People at the top just doesn't sound right for KROQ.

Phoenix were one of the better picks KROQ has had in the last couple years of these christmas/summer radio shows. Anyone at the sb bowl show, or hw bowl show last September knows they bring it. I also really like Phoenix.
Now Florence is a weak headliner for this IMO. But the whole thing is weak. I've never been so turned away from wanting to see blink-182. Yes I probably want to see blink the same way people want to see these other groups but shut it.
This is the equivalent of musical water boarding.
Kroq is one of the most over rated alt rock stations, so they fill the show with over rated bands. Can you argue that logic?
I've seen blink-182, incubus, and 311 already this year. had a blast at all of them
Night 2
Jane's Addiction
The black keys
Mumford and sons
Death cab for cutie
Florence and the machine
