I have no idea why I thought he was at Lollapalooza. I even saw the Bonnaroo icon in the corner, and consciously disregarded it. Because I'm stupid.

if Coachella does 225,000 over a weekend, it's 450,000 over both weekends assuming both sellout by April.
Some other festivals like Montreal Jazz, Ottawa Blues and New Orleans Jazz have total paid attendence number in the same ball park or exceed what GV anticipate.
Curious to see how Chella or Lolla word any "biggest festival on the continent" type statements in 2012.
With no single ticket sales, they shouldn't be using those fake 225,000 numbers. Does Lolla still do single tickets?
How many people go, that's what matters. Not how many times the turnstile clicks. (Or beeps, in this case.)
EDIT- actually, none of it matters.
Not to mention the fact that Childish Gambino is probably not up on the most accurate tickets sold/sell-out statistics for every individual festival in the United States, he's just saying that he is honored to have played Bonnaroo which he thinks/feels is the biggest festival in America, next to Coachella next year. I don't think this should be interpreted as either a confirmation or a statistical statement. If anything that comment was probably a plea for GV to book him.
which is why i posted the official sell out numbers for per day sales. if there was a 10,000 person capacity fest that ran for 122 days, it wouldn't be the largest festival.. and yes, chella and roo don't have single day sales, lolla offers limited, they aren't 225,000 people, it's 75,000 people going for 3 days..
i'm pretty sure they have an official "cap number" or else it wouldn't "sell out" in advance.. and it's sold out in advance several times before. (granted, like chella, they have diff caps some years)
I don't know what it counts for but Annie Clark seemed like she wanted to come back to Coachella when I spoke to her yesterday.

My friend's brother's girlfriend's sister's boyfriend knows a guy that works for Goldenvoice that says that the headliners will be Radiohead, Daft Punk, and David Bowie

Fans meeting artists isn't at all far fetched. In fact, we've gotten several confirmations this way in the past.

It is not that absurd that Annie spoke with her fans after a small show, I don't know why some of you are so bent out of shape. & I would love to see St. Vincent at Coachella.
yeah, actually a very very high percentage of people confirming an artist this way are vindicated when the lineup comes out. We figured it out one year, I put that stuff in the rumor section just to be safe though. Not sure if an artist saying they want to return is enough to put them on the list though.

So Spooks posted this article in the thread about two headliners confirmed, going to put this in the rumored section.

The issue is that only info I've seen them post in the past was saying that Rolling Stones were booked last year, so I'm not sure how reliable this website is.

The White Stripes 9/18
The more that I think about it Radiohead, No Doubt and Coldplay make sense based Paul T saying that the headliners would not be as young as this year or as old as 08 and 09
Coldplay
Daft Punk . No Doubt
Radiohead
No Doubt = Ill be in the Sahara
Coldplay = Ill probably be in the Sahara
Radiohead = FUCK YES
Could be worse. But Im hoping for Daft Punk, Beastie Boys, REM or something....
Upcoming Shows:
Pitchfork Festival: 7/19 @ Union Park
