STS9 - Start Tour on April 20th in Oakland, Why Aren't They At Coachella?

So STS9 just announced their new tour - starting April 20th at the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA. Now pretty much all artists playing at coachella are making a stop in the Bay Area or SoCal, so wouldn't STS9 make perfect sense to start their tour at Coachella? They appeal entirely to the crowd, I've seen them and their awesome, and would think they would make a perfect Gobi/Mojave candidate.

C'mon Coachella, throw me a bone and add STS9 or Thievery Corporation .

Their bassist has said that they are trying to make most of the shows they play this year a "Great Cycle Spectacles" show, which are two night events. "STS9 is proud to present “The Great Cycle Spectacles” of 20-12. A series of one of a kind performances celebrating the end and beginning of the Mayan calendar cycle."

The only shows that haven't been announced to be like this are their own festival (which I'm sure will be an extended version of it) and Hangout. Hangout is a small enough festival, with STS9 billed high enough that I bet they will be able to come to some sort of compromise. There is no way that Coachella would give them more than one day, or even time for two sets. I would love to see them on there, but this year definitely wasn't happening.
