Surgery
British singer Adele is going to have throat-related surgery and is canceling her remaining live appearances for the rest of the year, Columbia Records said Friday.
"She is to undergo surgery to alleviate the current issues with her throat and a full recovery is expected," the record company said in a statement. "As a result, doctors have ordered her to rest her voice and completely recuperate before looking to schedule any work commitments."
Good news for Adele fans - booked to perform at Brit Awards in mid-February.
Organisers behind the event have revealed that Adele will be returning to the stage to perform her smash hit 'Someone Like You' after taking a hiatus from performing due to an aggressive chest infection.
While the singer is currently still in recovery from throat surgery- organisers have revealed that it is expected that Adele will be back in fighting form for the event.
Adele will be joined by other big name stars like controversial singer Noel Gallagher and Kasabian.
But aside from Adele's return to the stage, the other buzz surrounding the 2012 Brit Awards is the duet between Rihanna and Coldplay.
British rockers Blur are also set to receive the Outstanding Contribution to Music award at the event.
I'm so tired of Adele's whiny bitchy voice complaining about the men in her life in her songs. Maybe if she put down the cheeseburger and got some exercise her songs could be more uplifting and less whiny and annoying.
