Breakfast of Champions is always fantastic on New Year's Day in SF

yessssss I cannot wait for this. I just went this year, at Mighty, but had such a blast. So surreal seeing sun coming through the windows of a club...

I don't know, I haven't been. reports from last year made it sound like a bit of a clusterfuck at times. a big part of the appeal of breakfast of champions to me was a smaller event and avoiding the crowds. if that's been lost I'm not sure I care any more. but, again, I only have second hand info.

If everyone mentions the crowd but also mentions what a kick ass time they had it might be an indication that you should endure the crowd so you can also have the kick ass time. It's worth it.


The only problem with last year at Mighty is that the inside was so crowded that you had to wait on a long line to get back in if you walked outside. Hopefully they come up with a better solution next year.

I think perhaps the perspective that was being offered was that dirtybird already does a fair number of events in SF (such as a free show every few months). Those *free* nights aren't even that crowded, and there's no way they'd fill the concourse if the event was centered around them.

But a dirtybird stage would be good.
