What's "Take Me Out"?
"Sexyback" Justin Timberlake feat. Timbaland, and "The Way I Are" Timbaland would be my picks, but I'm going to vote for Missy.
"Take Me Out" is (I think) that Franz Ferdinand song. YOU SAY YOU DUNNO. I SAY BLAHDEBO. TAKE ME OUT.
5/25-5/27: MOVEMENT DETROIT
6/6: The Field @ The Independent
6/26: Colin Stetson @ The Chapel

The correct answer is...
Anything on TV is POP.
Esp 99 prob...when they're making t shirts and remixes and everyone repeats the song title all day for two years straight....its pop
Also, the 10 songs on the list are the #1 singles on the Village Voice Pazz & Jop Poll for every year from 2001 to 2010. The Pazz & Jop Poll is a poll of hundreds of critics nationwide each year. Seemed like a good (i.e., relatively objective) starting point. Whining that your favorite song isn't on the list is pointless idiotic blather.
99 Problems hit #30 on the charts. The poll is not "which song is the most popular".

I can't believe I actually know most of these songs.
Good poll btw. I had a bit of a struggle with this one.

Chorus to 'Empire State of Mind' got incredibly old, incredibly fast. That JT song with "I wanna rock your body all the way" is probably the one, but I can't remember the title. Shows how much I'm into pop music.
'Get your freak on' was used well in Boat Trip. Underrated movie. But pop music is generally so temporary.
100% Caffeinated
"Get Ur Freak On" edges out "Paper Planes" just enough for me. "Crazy In Love" would be a serious contender if that made the list as well.
