    Default The War On Drugs

The new album 'Slave Ambient' is absolutely perfect. Kind of like if Bruce Springsteen and Arcade Fire had a baby....

    bump for 2015!

Lost in the Dream is really fantastic and I look forward to seeing them in LA in Oct. They haven't played Coachella and I think they are due.

I'm really looking forward to seeing them at the SF Fillmore this October. IMHO, their sound fits the Fillmore's vibe perfectly. Plus, the first show is already sold out, which means, free posters!!

I'd be pretty shocked if they didn't make the line up next year.

Kurt Vile was only on one full length.. They've released an EP and two albums since then. What does Kurt Vile have anything to do with it?

Saw the Pomona show. One of the 2-3 best I've seen this year. Would love a 600 Saturday slot at Gobi

Yeah, saw them at the Fonda 10/3 - Coachella doing the festival a straight-up diservice if they whiff on landing them this year while they are still primarily working the Lost In A Dream material. Guaranteed their Coachellla set would be received just like Future Islands were this past year, top 10 on the weekend for 95% of the attendees that actually go see them.

Had no idea Granduceil was as strong a live guitarist as he is...the endings on Under The Pressure and Ocean Between The Waves were just phenomenal! Great show, and with all the feuding think WOD into Sun Kil Moon (another must get for this year, along with Swans and the Men), would just be too perfect as Heart Cooks Brain suggests.
The Replacements - Bryan Ferry - Outkast - The Knife - Dum Dum Girls - Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Broken Bells - Haim - Neko Case - Jagwar Ma - Goat - Waxahatchee

Queens Of The Stone Age - Pet Shop Boys - Chvrches - Mogwai - Warpaint - Washed Out - Future Islands - Ty Seagall - Darkside - Foxygen

Beck - Neutral Milk Hotel - Superchunk - Arcade Fire - Bombino - Daughter - Surfer Blood

I think I 'm going to be in the minority here as it seems like people around me were enjoying themselves, but besides a few songs and some guitar solos, I thought the show was pretty bland overall. To the credit of the band, I'm not sure if they could make their style any more exciting live and I'm a big fan of Lost in a Dream. I guess I understand the 'dad rock' discussion now - I felt that I would have enjoyed the show more sitting on a lawn chair or laying on grass, listening outdoors beer in hand. I also kept thinking about how bad my posture was.

I thought they were a little flat towards the end of last night and they were way better at Austin Pysch Fest. Also, yes: it was a goddamned sea of dad-rockers. The daddiest of dadrock with a small smattering of nprmoms.

At the very least, we got a much better show than the TBD fest, where they showed up over an hour late and played for ~20mins.

This would be perfect for a car commercial. Like a chevy commercial or some other company that makes really shitty cars.
