I'd rather go to a show by myself than rely on flaky friends or someone who complains throughout a show. Also given some tickets, like Neil Young are coming out at $300 a piece, not everyone is willing to drop that amount.

Besides if you travel a lot for business/pleasure, then going by yourself isn't unusual.

I didn't realize Mr. Fuzz was a 12 year old bully. This is a forum for music nerds, OF COURSE people go to shows by themselves. Besides, you pull way better seats if you buy singles. Beck wasn't doing a full-on tour so he's a no-brainer to travel for.

It is correct that SpyonVegas offers up free tickets, however depending on which employee you deal with you may also need an Identity Membership (free casino reward card thing). I personally have never needed to show mine, but I had friends that were denied entry when they didn't have one. *shrugs* Again, this is specific to the Thursday shows..it doesn't work this way for the bigger concerts.

All of the Thursday Social Club shows have access to all 3 of the Boulevard pools..I've gone to the last 4 shows and swam each time in each of the pools :-)

For the regular concerts, they either drain the larger pool to use as standing room or leave it filled but not allow you to swim in it.

(That info is more to people who haven't been to the Cosmo, not to snidely correct you, Tigermilkboy )

To make it clear on the Boulevard Concert series.

For the 'free' shows on Thurs, it will always say 'Blvd Social Club Presents'. Shows like Foster The People and Janes Addiction aren't part of the series. Whether they offer 'free' tickets to The Hives depends on how many they sell.

BTW for those who don't know, 'Identity' Club membership is available on the ground floor of the Cosmo. It is a free to sign up players card. Usually you get some good promo's mailed to you.

Doesn't surprise me the rules are all over the place at Blvd Pool. In April I left a show to go in and out, someone stamped by hand and when I came back the security looked at me like I was crazy 'no in and outs are allowed'. Things like that are often frustrating about the Cosmo.

Anyone go to Lucero? I had an awesome time, even though it was hot as shit.

I was also a little let down, in a santa clause sort of way, when Ben spit the shot whiskey back into the cup... lol

A bit outrageous? No thoroughly outrageous! Funny how these acts think they can gouge just because its Vegas. I bet they dont even open the balcony at those prices.

The XX show scheduled for October 10th at the Cosmopolitan has already gone on sale ($26, at the Boulevard Pool). With your ticket purchase, you get a digital download of their new single "Angels" and their new cd "Coexist" when it's released Sept. 11th.

It has nothing to do with Vegas. Gotye has been charging those prices elsewhere-LA Greek Theater is $72 with fee's.

It is the fee's which are outrageous on this one. $18 per ticket!

Hey! Thanks for the heads up. Just purchased my tickets for the show. $76 for two after Rapitmaster fee's. This will be a birthday gift to myself. Cheers!

I'm feeling like a loser now. Thanks Mr. Fuzz. All these shows I have purchased single tickets for....what am I thinking?

I wish I had friends. I don't know anyone. I still have the ticket for Beck by the way. $55 now. Or it's free to you Mr. Fuzz if you will be my friend and go to shows with me all the time.

If no one buys that ticket, send it my way and I will go for you. Maybe, I'll even be able to sneak down onto the floor, so I won't have to sit in-between two strangers.

Was it already mentioned that Peter Murphey is playing the Las Vegas Country Saloon August 15th? Tickets are currently on sale for $25 (+ fees), will go up to $35 whenever the $25 allotment has sold out. The opening act is Ours

    Facebook Event: http://www.facebook.com/events/388444831204445/

    tickets through: http://bigmarkstickets.com/index.php...hk=1&Itemid=54

Also, The Melvins are playing the same venue (Las Vegas Country Saloon) October 23rd. LVCS is located on Fremont Street, which means there are cheaper CLOSE hotel/accommodation options as well as the Fremont East Entertainment District bars to hit up after the shows (Beauty Bar, Griffin, Vanguard, Insert Coins, Downtown Cocktail Lounge, Don't Tell Mama, etc). :-)

I gave it to a complete stranger because it was more likely they were less of an asshole than you. Maybe when you grow up you won't need someone to hold your hand at concerts.

$25 for Gotye tickets next Friday. This isn't surprising with the original price being so ridiculous.

This could be really fun, especially if you got a room package deal.
