I will sit in silence for the last hour or so of work if "Good Morning Captain" comes up on shuffle near the end of the day. It's just such a sin to waste that on computer speakers that I will wait until I get in my car to listen.
    My name is Becca. Hi.

My absolute favorite "the more you know" fact that I never knew before just recently is that Will Oldham took the Spiderland cover photo.

It's really hard to boil it down to this because it's so chock full of great songs, but:

    5/30 - John Talabot - Echoplex (?)

Did this masturbatory thread already produce a parody thread? Something like "Albums where the BEST song is a song with ONE WORD!" or "Albums where the BEST song has the word SONG in the title!"

I might say Bruce Springsteen - Jungleland - Born to Run, but I also might say that the first track (Thunder Road) is better. Hard to pick.
    Coachella 2013:
Blur • YYYs • Modest Mouse • Lou Reed • Jurassic 5 • How to Destroy Angels • Beach House • Metric • Local Natives • Of Monsters & Men • Divine Fits • FOALS • Youth Lagoon
Phoenix • xx • Postal Service • Hot Chip • Grizzly Bear • Franz Ferdinand • Two Door Cinema Club • Yeasayer • Violent Femmes • SMD • Portugal the Man • 2 Bears
Vampire Weekend • Nick Cave • Wu-Tang Clan • Pretty Lights • Eric Prydz • Tame Impala • Lumineers • Tanlines • Thee Oh Sees • Robert DeLong

Regarding The Bends, I prefer "Black Star" over "Street Spirit (Fade Out)." Regarding Ladies and Gentlemen..., I prefer "I Think I'm in Love" over "Cop Shoot Cop..." Regarding London Calling, I prefer "Spanish Bombs" over "Train in Vain."

Oh, and regarding Loveless, I prefer "What You Want" over "Soon."

Just and Fake Plastic Trees are both better as well. You are completely correct with Spiritualized and London Calling.

    Portishead's "Dummy" - Glory Box

And Street Spirit is the best song off The Bends. Hell, according to Setlist.fm, it's their most played song tied with Lucky.

This is an interesting one. I'd say it's the prettiest song on there, and the only one I can think of that I'd say might be better is Parasite, but at the same time From the Morning is the dark ray of sunshine at the end of a bleak masterpiece.

'brothersport' - merriweather post pavilion - animal collective

I agree with 'a day in the life', but I can't get behind 'dondante'. Its a good song, but not the best on the album.

That album is just incredible from beginning to end. Hard to fault your choice, though "So What" and "All Blues" are probably my favorites on there.
