I will sit in silence for the last hour or so of work if "Good Morning Captain" comes up on shuffle near the end of the day. It's just such a sin to waste that on computer speakers that I will wait until I get in my car to listen.

My absolute favorite "the more you know" fact that I never knew before just recently is that Will Oldham took the Spiderland cover photo.

It's really hard to boil it down to this because it's so chock full of great songs, but:

This album has one of the best finishes
I might say Bruce Springsteen - Jungleland - Born to Run, but I also might say that the first track (Thunder Road) is better. Hard to pick.
Coachella 2013:
Blur • YYYs • Modest Mouse • Lou Reed • Jurassic 5 • How to Destroy Angels • Beach House • Metric • Local Natives • Of Monsters & Men • Divine Fits • FOALS • Youth Lagoon
Phoenix • xx • Postal Service • Hot Chip • Grizzly Bear • Franz Ferdinand • Two Door Cinema Club • Yeasayer • Violent Femmes • SMD • Portugal the Man • 2 Bears
Vampire Weekend • Nick Cave • Wu-Tang Clan • Pretty Lights • Eric Prydz • Tame Impala • Lumineers • Tanlines • Thee Oh Sees • Robert DeLong
Yes, there were several such threads.
EDIT:
Albums with bananas
Albums with songs
Albums without songs

kings of leon - only by the night - cold desert [ok ok but it WAS the best song off that album. flame away]
franz ferdinand - you can have it so much better - outsiders
Talking Heads - Speaking in Tongues - This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)
LCD Soundsystem - This Is Happening - Home
The National - Alligator - Mr. November
Death Cab for Cutie - We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes - Scientist Studies
Bon Iver - Bon Iver - Beth/Rest
Just kidding on that last one. I hate that song.
Regarding The Bends, I prefer "Black Star" over "Street Spirit (Fade Out)." Regarding Ladies and Gentlemen..., I prefer "I Think I'm in Love" over "Cop Shoot Cop..." Regarding London Calling, I prefer "Spanish Bombs" over "Train in Vain."
Oh, and regarding Loveless, I prefer "What You Want" over "Soon."
Portishead's "Dummy" - Glory Box
And Street Spirit is the best song off The Bends. Hell, according to Setlist.fm, it's their most played song tied with Lucky.

loving a lot of these for sure.
here are some of mine:
'a day in the life' - sgt. peppers lonely hearts club band - the beatles
'separator' - the king of limbs - radiohead
'past and pending' - oh, inverted world - the shins
'it's all gonna break' - broken social scene - broken social scene
'sleep forever' - in the mountain in the cloud - portugal. the man
'so long you pretty thing' - sweet heart sweet light - spiritualized
'house of jealous lovers' - echos - the rapture
'how deep is your love?' - in the grace of your love - the rapture (tough one!)
'we all belong' - we all belong - dr. dog
'from the morning' - pink moon - nick drake
'brothersport' - merriweather post pavilion - animal collective
'one sunday morning (song for jane smiley's boyfriend)' - the whole love - wilco
'grown ocean' - helplessness blues - fleet foxes
'dondante' - z - my morning jacket
lets talk.
This is an interesting one. I'd say it's the prettiest song on there, and the only one I can think of that I'd say might be better is Parasite, but at the same time From the Morning is the dark ray of sunshine at the end of a bleak masterpiece.
Summertime Clothes.'brothersport' - merriweather post pavilion - animal collective
difficult to pick the best one out of Pink Moon
my favorite is Place to Be
my favorite Nick Drake song period.
