I was fortunate enough to see him last night at the OC Fair. Quite a great show!
A true legend in his own right. Very few can be so jovial and humorous with a crowd as well.
Nelson slot main, or Cohen slot outdoor.

Support. Saw him a few years ago in Santa Barbara and boy was it a blast. He's got diabetes pretty bad but his feet still dance up a storm while he's sitting on stage. We'd be lucky to have him and Lucille show us what's up.

I have only gotten to see him once live. He has so many great songs and great stories, but I'd offer support to this thread just to hear "The Thrill Is Gone" live one more time.
Dating myself brutally here but...
One of the best sets I've ever seen was BB's 6 pmish set at the Original Farm aid on University of Illinois Campus in 1985. They went on one at time in those days, B.B was supposed to play for twenty minutes, but didn't leave the stage for over an hour.
In today's era, they would have pulled the plug on him...but that day, they just let him run long, and all were the better for it.
B.B. King with Eric Clapton. Hmmmm, yes.

I attended a pair of great BB shows in the mid 90's.
2010 he did some very unsatifactory shows and I can provide links to reviews. The 1 song they used on the 2010 crossroads DVD is also beyond boring.
I also think Clapton is too "classic rock" for Chella and sometimes cakewalks shows. Plus he ain't cheap.
I'd go with Buddy Guy is still performs at a very high level, a hassle free and relatively inexpensive booking and probably the best "bluesman" currently out there. Think he's done Bonnaroo.
