It looks like The Who will be back in action next year performing "Quadrophenia"......weren't people expecting them to play Coachella two years ago?
The Who's Pete Townshend has revealed that the band will stage another 'Quadrophenia' tour next year.
He broke the news to fans over the band's website: ''The reason I am not on the road with Roger is that this is entirely Roger's adventure, one that is bringing him great joy. I don't belong on this Tommy tour. I wish him well, sincerely, and I look forward to playing with Roger again doing Quadrophenia next year."
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Townshend also revealed why he is not on the current 'Tommy' tour: ''Pete is having terrible hearing problems at the moment. I don't want to be on stage with him destroying the last bit of his hearing. That would be completely foolish. He's a composer."
Meanwhile, The Who's Roger Daltrey has slammed U2 over claims that they are tax evaders.

P.S. and box set.....11/14
The Who have announced details of a re-release of their 1973 rock opera, 'Quadrophenia: The Director's Cut'.
Guitarist Pete Townshend has authorised and overseen the new edition of the album, which is due to be released on November 14.
The boxset features a re-master of the original double album, Townshend’s previously unheard demos, an exclusive eight track 5.1 sound DVD, a deluxe hard-back book, previously unseen personal notes, photographs, memorabilia and other exclusive material that will be announced over the coming months.
“This 2011 revisit to The Who’s 1973 Quadrophenia recording is inspired by current and continuing interest in the project,” said Townshend.
The guitarist added that The Who would likely perform the album on a tour in 2012.
