Primavera 2012

As usual, before the dust settles on the 2011 edition, it's time to buy VIP tickets.

On another note, the dates of San Miguel Primavera Sound 2012 have been confirmed, the main days of the event will be held from the 30th May until the 3rd June next year.

Next Monday 25th July from 10am a limited number of the following VIP full festival tickets will go on sale until they sell out:

- San Miguel Primavera Sound 2012 VIP full festival ticket: 150€ (+ booking fee)

The full festival ticket can only be bought on the Primavera Sound Portal and will only be available to people who have a San Miguel Primavera Sound 2011 full festival ticket card associated to a user account on the Portal. Each user will be able to buy a maximum of two VIP full festival tickets

Bad news if you didn't go last year, but as me and the wife have passes from last year, we can pick up a couple of extra ones if anyone is 100% in.

Normal tickets tend to go on sale around Nov and early bird are around 90 Euros.

I'm sorry if I missed this, but have they announced what's happening with the "other" Primavera? I thought that was supposed to be announced rather soon, but perhaps I was mistaken.

I told you in my last post we will announce the sale of the VIP tickets for the PS2012 together with the first names of the PCLUB 2011 and the combined full festival ticket. Finally we will not be able to reveal the location of the new PS. Problems of institutional agenda owing to the proximity of August means that it is advisable to put off the announcement until September. Watch this space.

Yes. Falls on the Jubilee weekend too, so the Monday and Tuesday after are both public holidays in the UK. An extra couple of days on the beach it is, then.

Are beers super expensive at Primevera?

The only one I bought was 4 euros, I believe. If you have 15 minutes to spare, walk out the gate and people are standing outside selling them for 1-2 each.

They have BEER MAN and they have the huge cups of San Miguel for 6 euros I think. Not too hard to get jacked up on those.

been talking with heather about this for the past 30 minutes or so. pretty sure we'll try to get tickets on the 3rd.

Some questions as the website is really confusing...

So the dates are May 30 - June 3 2012. Am i correct in understanding that the actual festival is 3 days but then there are other shows that occur before/after in different locations? Or maybe I guess the better question is, what exactly does the festival pass get you into?

Festival pass gets you into

Main festival at Parc Del Forum (May 31st - June 2nd)
Opening party on May 30th (Evening only)
2 x closing parties on June 3rd (one with bands, one with DJ's)
Some smaller club shows in the few days before the fest starts (normally kicking off the weekend before).

There are also some free daytime shows in a local park (open to all) on June 1st-3rd.

The first run of tix (as you said) go on sale on 3rd Oct. Once they sell out they'll release the next run at a slightly higher price and so on.

Had a long talk and we are pretty much firmly planned on going as of now. Oct. 3 is my return from ATP day, so hopefully Heather can figure out how to and properly secure our tickets. That will be a great kick in the ass to start planning the trip. This will be my first time in Europe! The cool thing is my sister is studying abroad in Madrid right now so we'll be hanging out there for a few days as well.
